Mark Rogers With Steve Tickle And Jim Tom Hedrick

Sugarlands Distilling Company has joined forces with master moonshine distillers Steve “Tickle” and Mark Rogers, two of the most popular personalities from the hit TV show “Moonshiners.”

Tickle and Rogers are the latest moonshine legends to be included among the best-selling Sugarlands Shine Legends series. Jim Tom Hedrick helped launch the Legends Series in March 2014 with his 100-proof “Jim Tom’s Unaged Rye” when the distillery opened its doors to the public this spring.

“The Legends Series is a product line that celebrates authentic moonshine craftsmen like Mark and Tickle,” said Brent Thompson, director of marketing for Sugarlands Distilling Company. “We’ve been working with them for months now crafting their secret recipes which we’ll announce later this year.”

Tickle is a native of Southwest Virginia who loves to spend time cooking and developing new moonshine recipes.

“I’m really liking working with the people here at Sugarlands Distilling Company,” said Tickle. “When I first started talking to them, they said we are a family here and if you don’t feel like you belong in this family, we aren’t the right people. Great way to look at this because I do feel like these folks are just as much my family as my real family.”

Rogers has spent the majority of his life devoted to making moonshine and working as a hunting guide.

“I like everything about it, plus they couldn’t have set the distillery up any better, and the people is what I like,” said Rogers. “The workers, the owners, it don’t matter, they are the best people I’ve been around.”

Although Sugarlands Distilling Company opened just this year, the company has already immersed itself in local communities across the Southeast and Midwest. Currently, Sugarlands Shine can be found in Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Minnesota and Illinois with plans to be in every state by mid-2015.

Season 4 of “Moonshiners” returns Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 9 p.m. EST / 8 p.m. CST on the Discovery Channel.
