Isaiah Austin On Larry King Now
Former Baylor basketball star and honorary NBA draft pick Isaiah Austin discusses what his future holds after learning he has Marfan Syndrome, a diagnosis which effectively ended his competitive basketball career.
The "Larry King Now" episode will air next Friday, July 25th on ORA TV.
Larry King asks Isaiah Austin what his support group was like at Baylor when the school learned of Austin's unfortunate medical diagnosis.
"It was amazing," said Isaiah Austin. "I knew I ha a family at Baylor...they gave me my scholarship back so I can continue my degree."
Isaiah Austin has two more years left of school before he graduates with his Business BA. Baylor University also offered him an assistant coaching job for the varsity basketball team, which Austin is "considering."
"I want to remain around basketball as much as I can," stated Austin.
He is also "weighing out options" in broadcasting at NBA Sports and Bleacher Report.
"I like all sports, not just basketball, and if I am connected wit TV...I will be able to connect with all sports," stated Austin.
