Maks Chmerkovskiy On Wendy Williams

"Dancing With The Stars" winning couple, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis, joined Wendy Williams in her Hot Topics segment this morning, where Maks confirmed he would would accept a role as one of the judges if the show offered it to him.

Maks said, "I'm not Simon [Cowell]. I'm not a nice judge. I'm a good judge. I judge the way it's supposed to be. I know this business, I've been in it, I grew up in it. Somebody asked me yesterday why I started dancing and I once again thought about it. I was 4 years old. Who knows why. Spending 30 years in an industry, that you, you know, I think I've done a little bit in it. I know what I'm talking about. Unlike some of the guest judges that we had this season."

When asked if the victorious couple's chemistry had evolved into off-screen romance, Meryl responded, "We're not dating. No. We like to keep the personal lives personal."

Going into this year's competition with his eye on the prize, Maks said, "It's feeling great. I came back differently than before. We were talking about this. We're very similar where we come from this world where there's a place to win. Second or last really doesn't matter. It was important for me to not have to come up with another excuse for why I didn't win to mom."
