Ted and Dina Merrill Hartley along with distinguished Event Committee Members Lizzi Bickford, Charles Bullock, Cornelia Bregman, John U. Moorhead, Stanley Rumbough, and Jean Shafiroff hosted a perfect summer soiree on, in East Hampton, NY.



The intimate benefit dinner was held at the private estate of Mr. & Mrs. Hartley, the intimate evening included dinner, fireworks, and live musical performances by Tony Award nominee Christine Andreas and cabaret singer Cole Rumbough. With over 50 guests in attendance, which included such luminaries as— Martha Stewart, Ambassador Bonnie McElveen Hunter, Sharon Bush, Boo Grace, Flo Anthony, Julianne Michelle and Randi Schatz, to name a few. The evening also marked the 30th anniversary of board service by Mr. Stanley H. Rumbough, son of Mrs. Dina Merrill Hartley. Mr. Rumbough, a proud descendant of the Colgate and Rumbough families, has continued the legacy of service to New York City Mission Society because of his dedication to the organization’s mission.




“We are truly blessed. The generosity of our committee members and guests is absolutely amazing.” said Maria Orengó, New York City Mission Society’s Interim Executive Director. “This support allows us to continue to do the necessary work to help break the cycle of poverty for New York City’s children, youth and families.”



Committee Member Jean Shafiroff, added that she had the opportunity to visit the Harlem based Minisink Townhouse program site last year and was “inspired by the incredible work of the staff and program participants.” She encouraged all of the guests to continue to support the organization.



The evening was a great success raising over $40 thousand dollars for New York City Mission Society.
