A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a Sondheim musical that tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The show is arriving at the Bay Street Theater, Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, New York. The show runs August 6 - September 1st.


The musical's original 1963 Broadway run won several Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Book. A Funny Thing has enjoyed several Broadway and West End revivals and was made into a successful film starring the original lead of the musical, Zero Mostel.



The show is starring Peter Scolari, Jackie Hoffman, John Conrad Schuck and featuring Stewart Lane. The book is by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. You can get your tickets HERE, or call the Box Office at 631-725-9500
