Variety has been presenting The Variety Studio at Holt Renfrew, the 3rd annual installment of Variety.com’s festival-filmmaker video series at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Between September 8th and September 11th, award-winning directors, actors, writers and producers will be interviewed by Variety’s editorial team, led by Senior Awards Editor Jon Weisman, with the videos set to stream on Variety.com. Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor, Nathan Fillon, Clark Gregg, Nina Dobrev, John Hawkes, Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts, Sam Rockwell, William H Macy, Colin Farrell and more were among the celebrities that dropped by the studio sponsored in part by New Era Caps. Colin Farrell, star of "seven Psychopaths mentioned "I make it a rule not to accept gifts but I might just have to break it," "I'm a sucker for fedoras" (after seeing the New Era Fedoras), "I look like I should be in a pub on the south side of Ireland with a tin whistle." Tom Holland, from the movie "The Impossible" said, "I love New Era Caps!" He picked up a Toronto raptors snapback and a graphite ragtime fedora and said "each of these gives me such a different feel." Ed Burns looked dashing in a brown fedora while Adrien Grenier mentioned, "I think this looks sharp" about his black New Era Fedora. Hugh Laurie, starring in "Mr. Pip" also attended the studio in the middle of a busy day and chugged a double shot of espresso before starting his interview. He joked, "I've had my eye on these [fedoras.]” Ice-T stopped by with COCO and even though they didn’t have his NY Yankees cap in his size he selected a black Chicago White Sox cap and said, “Yea now that’s my flavor.”

John Hawkes from "The Sessions" exchanged the fedora he entered the studio with for a straw New Era Bayou fedora in brown. When asked what style he was interested in he said, "whatever is the least fashionable!" And William H Macy picked up some New Era Caps for wife Felicity Huffman. “Gotta bring some gifts home for the wife!”

Variety Studio guests sampled a selection of caps from New Era's headwear collections including the iconic 59FIFTY Fitted's, classic, adjustable 9FIFTY Snapbacks and fashion forward EK Fedoras and Newsboy caps.
