Maria and Kenneth Fishel welcomed guests to their Bridgehampton, NY estate for a Cocktail Reception benefiting the Center for Jewish Life Chabad in Sag Harbor. The event, which featured internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Tania Eshaghoff, was a momentous evening celebrating summer, community and giving back.

Notable attendees included: Maria Fishel, Kenneth Fishel, Tania Eshaghoff and Rabbi Berel Lerman.

Among some of the other charities they have been involved in are Chabad Center for Jewish Life, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The PAW Project, NoHo Business Improvement District and the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund. Kenneth serves on the boards of SWCRF, Community Housing Improvement Corporation and Noho New York Business Improvement District.

When Maria is not indulging her passion for the arts by attending lectures in art history, music and literature at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she is a committee member, major fundraiser and chair of events for the SWCRF, and their annual Hamptons Happening.

About Tania Eshaghoff

Tania Eshaghoff Friedberg, pianist, composer was born in Tehran, Iran in 1974. She started studying piano at the age of seven with Mahdogh Monesabian (formerly Tehran Conservatory of Music) who introduced her to an improvisatory style of Persian folk melodies. These melodies were the inspiration for Tania’s continued musical career and growth as a Persian woman playing music in spite of social barriers. Since 1996, Tania has been under the musical wing of Dr Edward Smaldone, Director of Copland School of Music, Queens College, CUNY. Tania has performed numerous concerts on such prestigious stages as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, The Museum of American Piano, Le Frak Concert Hall, Center of Jewish History and the Makor Center of the 92nd Street Y. Her private audiences include diplomats, ambassadors and Her Majesty Farah Pahlavi of Iran.
