Lic Landing View One of the secret gems of New York City is LIC Landing in Hunters Point South Park for sunsets of Manhattan to die for. The Landing Burger Tropical Drinks Under new owners, Manager Helen Proffes has concentrated on quality food, not what you would expect from a snack bar in a NYC Park. The menu is extensive and includes Grilled Chicken Wrap along with a Sweet And Spicy Chicken Wrap. The Landing Burger with cheese fries is to die for. We give rave reviews to the Falafel Wrap with green Tzatziki sauce. The Landing Pizza can be anything fro a Meatlovers to a Veggie Lovers. There is a complete children's menu as well Beer and Wine for the adults.  This is also the location most years for the Macy's 4th of July celebration because nothing beats the view here. HUNTERS POINT SOUTH RESIDENTS TO HIRE PRIVATE SECURITY BECAUSE NYPD 108TH REFUSES TO POLICE

Image
Raves In Hunters Point South Hunters Point South Park residents have started a GOFUNDME page to hire private security for our waterfront. The NYPD 108th have refused to enforce any law, they have refused to engage any criminal activity leaving residents with no options but to hire our own security. We have been terrorized this year almost every night. Drag racing in our streets, open drinking and drug use, raves being thrown in our park and the organizers try to charge residents to go into our own park. We have begged and pleaded with the NYPD 108th station house, we call 911, we beg and they just refuse to do their job. When we call 911, 2 minutes later we get a text saying they responded and no action needed, this while we sit there and wait for them. The 108th are filing false response reports which is a crime. Yes, they are doing this. We flag cops down on the rare occasion we see them in the neighborhood and we point out crimes happening and they back up, turn ar

WHY DOES AMAZON CONTINUE TO USE FEDEX?

Image
Fedex Lost Packages I am really getting tired of Amazon and other stores using Fedex. Packages are lost over and over again and it really is not right. Fedex has lost everything from whole beds we ordered to just a coffee pot. We watch things being tracked and bam, they disappear from tracking and are gone forever. We have to take the time to call Amazon or the store where we ordered, we spend hours on hold on the phone and it is just not right. When things are not lost, we watch tracking from one part of the country to another than back to other parts of the country. We wait and wait, my son gets upset and the aggravation makes me just want to go down the street and buy it there. We live in NYC and can get anything, sometimes I wonder why we even order online.  Fedex needs to change. Thousands of complaints online just the past week. How can whole beds just disappear, how can so many packages get lost and how can so much energy be used to send packages all over the

Whether it’s correcting the self-inflicted wounds of quarantine or adding life and luster to dull hair, landing on a new everyday look, or choosing a style for a special event, Manny and his team go over every detail with a fine toothcomb. Hamptons Porkchop After months indoors, the Hamptons are getting the perfect spot to blow off steam. This summer, Ian Duke and partner David Hilty, the owners of the ever-popular Southampton Social Club and Union Burger Bar, are unveiling the East End’s hottest new dining destination: Union Sushi and Steak, a modern take on the steakhouses of old. Situated in the historic Bowden Square property that formerly housed the famous Herb McArthy's, Union Sushi & Steak manages to blend all of the warmth of a local village pub and the energy of a supper club from the days of old. The cuisine is brought to us by award-winning Chef's Scott Kampf and Marc Fasciana of varied fame and tenures. The French American inspired menu features Dry aged steaks that are courtesy of Niman Ranch in Colorado and the assorted fresh sushi and sashimi menu is both enticing and inventive. “We created Union Sushi & Steak because it’s what the people of Southampton are asking for,”
