Together with GiltCity, Forevermark, the new diamond brand from the De Beers group of companies, celebrated its upcoming launch in New York City with an exclusive "Diamond Connoisseur Retreat" Pop-Up Boutique & Masterclass event at Milk Gallery.

American Idol Winner Jordin Sparks came to check out the pop-up boutique experience and attended a Forevermark Diamond Masterclass. She looked stunning in Forevermark diamonds, including Forevermark Diamond Earrings, Premier Gem for Forevermark Fancy Yellow Diamond Ring, and Premier Gem for Forevermark Diamond Line Bracelet.

Showcased alongside the classic Forevermark diamond designs available for sale were special designer collaborations by some of the jewelry designers most beloved by Hollywood, such as Hoorsenbuhs and Me & Ro. Many of Hollywood's leading actresses, including Michelle Williams, Lea Michele, Angie Harmon, Elizabeth Banks, Rashida Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow and Uma Thurman have already donned Forevermark on the Red Carpet this year. Forevermark will officially launch in the United States in Fall 2011, and will be available in a variety of independent and national retail locations.

been reading a lot lately about this new Forevermark branding initiative which claims these diamonds are somehow superclean ethically sourced diamonds. However, if you scratch the surface a little further up the supply pipeline and ask if any of the diamonds are crafted in countries that stand accused of war crmes or crimes against humanity you are unlikely to get a straight answer from DeBeers - smoke & mirrors folks.
