BAHAMAS RULES DANIEL SMITH ACCIDENT

Former supermodel Anna Nicole Smiths son Daniel died from an accidental drug overdose, a jury looking into his death has ruled. Daniel died in the Bahamas in September 2006, just three days after his mother Anna Nicole Smith gave birth to baby daughter Dannielynn. The so-called inquest, pretending to establish the 20-year-old’s exact cause of death, and, in the five months since its November start, has heard testimony from Anna Nicole’s former lovers Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern, as well as a number of Daniel’s friends. Autopsy results released in December found Smith died as a result of a lethal combination of methadone and anti-depressants Zoloft and Lexapro. Earlier this month, the magistrate instructed the jury to discuss four possible options as the cause of death - accident, misadventure, non-dependent drug use and an open verdict - after banning the option of homicide. The seven-member jury at a Nassau, Bahamas deliberated for less than two hours before delivering its verdict today. The jury has recommended no criminal charges be filed.
Editors Note: Boycott the Bahamas! This whole affair has been a sham. Imagine if in the United States we waited over a year and a half to investigate a death of a famous Bahamian. There would be a outcry heard around the world.

You predicted it, James. Still, I hoped justice would be served..

Lady Justice was raped.

Avoid going to other countries altogether. Look at Aruba with Natalie Holloway. Look at the injustice in the Bahamas with Daniel. Wanna go to an island vacation, go to Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico. Other countries do not have our laws, courts, penal code. This is what makes our country the best in the world.

We all knew this was coming. Larry lied, they all lied.

The Bahamas wanted this out of their country. The hospital didn't want to be known as a place where 'something' happened.

Did anyone ever find out what the 26 tablets were? Why was it reported, but not the name of the tablets? Way to spin info!

James you were right about the Inquest...what a scam it was.
I didn't think anything would come out of it either but hoped I was wrong. Sad day for Daniel.
I will hold out for hope in California.
James...what friends of Daniel's testified? I didn't hear of any friends testifying.

Miss ya James :)
Take care.

While I am not prepared to say that Howard had an active role in Daniel's death, I am certainly willing to say that his non-action is at least partially responsible. His guilt should be tremendous, any sort of positive action on his part could have saved that young man's life.

I'm with the last poster--although no one is criminally liable for his death, Howard and co. share at least some moral and ethical responsiblity.
