Jean Shafiroff, who is an American Humane board member, has been the national spokesperson for the Feed the Hungry campaign which raised $1 million to provide 1 million meals at over 100 shelters and has hosted several fundraisers since its launch.   Kids Cancel Cancer Event For Waxman Foundation Kids Cancel Cancer is the latest fundraising event to benefit the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), an international organization committed to funding world-class cancer research around the world. Unlike, other fundraising events, this event was created and is being organized by adolescents to specifically raise money for pediatric cancer research. The Foundation anticipates raising $100,000 and naming a pediatric research grant in honor of the co-chairs and committee. This amount will help support the work of two investigators for up to two years.
