Hollywood actor Mike Myers is sparking controversy in Hindu communities for "lampooning" the religion in his new movie The Love Guru.The 44-year-old Austin Powers star who plays Guru Pitka in the upcoming film and repeats the mantra of Mariska Hargitay, inspired by the television actress, as his calming technique. But Hindu leader Rajan Zed has accused Myers of stereotyping the culture, adding the movie "appears to be lampooning Hinduism and Hindus". Paramount Pictures has agreed to a preview of the movie for Hindu leaders prior to its release.A spokesman says, "Love Guru, which is not yet complete, is a satire created in the same spirit as Austin Powers. Quincy television star Jack Klugman is suing TV executives at NBC, claiming they owe him royalties from his hit medical drama.The Hollywood actor insists he’s still owed profits from the hit show 25 years after it last aired and is insisting the studio is lying about the show’s worldwide profits. Klugman claims he is entitled to 25 per cent of all "net profits" from the show, and that NBC bosses haven’t been paying him.In the legal documents, Klugman claims he tried to get NBC to turn over all its papers regarding the show, but was turned away with a letter that said they were "unable to comply with your request." The 85-year-old also states his own copy of the contract was lost when his agent died, prompting him to demand the copy from NBC.The lawsuit aims to force NBC bosses to produce the contract and provide the cash he claims he’s owed, plus legal fees. Francois Navarre A paparazzi who follows the toxic singer Britney Spears filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles California on Wednesday against photo agency X17. The celebrity snapper alleged three of the company's photographers severely beat him following a chase in which he had gained the lead. Alison Silva told MTV News that on March 5, he had parked one block away from Spears' home when three X17 photographers — whom he identified as Thomas Madiana, Carlos Madiana and Max Rinadelle — allegedly approached him and said, "You should not be here. Only X17 gets these shots." Silva then claims that one of the photographers punched him and knocked him to the ground, then the three kicked him to the point where he was passed out. When he came to, he claims they were kicking him in the face. "I didn't know what was going on," he said. Sexy Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is heading for a court battle over the construction of his basketball court, after a judge gave his Hollywood neighbors the go-ahead to sue the actor for allegedly damaging their property.The talented actor and his cousin Robert Hrtica, from whom DiCaprio rents the Hollywood Hills home, are named in legal papers filed by neighbors Ronald and Joan Linclau last May.The Linclaus allege DiCaprio "maliciously" cut and removed hedges; excavated "earth, granite and bedrock", destabilising their deck and swimming pool; and ignored their repeated requests to halt the 2004 construction.They are suing for trespass, nuisance and negligence and are seeking $250,000 in compensation. Bette Midler Superstars Whoopi Goldberg along with Cher, Joan Rivers, Bette Midler and Naomi Campbell are backing a campaign to help the homeless in New York City.The stars have autographed brooms for the Soho Partnership which will be auctioned for homeless charities in June's annual SoHo Stroll.The event, founded by Manhattan philanthropist Henry Buhl, will include a walk through downtown New York City, as well as a sale of brooms signed by more than 30 celebrities. The event is co-sponsored by The New York Post. Shoppers can get discounts at more than 100 stores during their stroll.
