Jimmy Van Bramer Sparks Racial Tensions In Hunters Point South This is Jimmy Van Bramer's statement a couple of weeks ago. I did not have time to address, because the residents here are busy doing the jobs of the NYPD and Jimmy Van Bramer who has refused to address these issues for years now. Jimmy Van Bramer AKA Lamer Bramer seems to think that only rich people live here. What would he know anyway, he never took the time to address our community unless there were TV Cameras here. For many years we have been complaining to Lamer Bramer. He has refused to listen, he has refused to engage the NYPD 108th and make them do their job and our concerns about crime have been ignored. Lic Landing View One of the secret gems of New York City is LIC Landing in Hunters Point South Park for sunsets of Manhattan to die for. The Landing Burger Tropical Drinks Under new owners, Manager Helen Proffes has concentrated on quality food, not what you would expect from a snack bar in a NYC Park. The menu is extensive and includes Grilled Chicken Wrap along with a Sweet And Spicy Chicken Wrap. The Landing Burger with cheese fries is to die for. We give rave reviews to the Falafel Wrap with green Tzatziki sauce. The Landing Pizza can be anything fro a Meatlovers to a Veggie Lovers. There is a complete children's menu as well Beer and Wine for the adults.  This is also the location most years for the Macy's 4th of July celebration because nothing beats the view here. Fireworks In Hunters Point South I am done with playing around with the NYPD 108th precinct here in Hunters Point South. They are a bunch of corrupt cops who refuse to do their job who have allowed our neighborhood to turn into a dangerous crime ridden war zone. For months the 108th has refused to enforce any law. While the rest of the city is on a slow down, the NYPD 108th is on a complete work stoppage. They witness crimes right in front of them and refuse to do anything. Residents are outside pleading with them to make arrests, to do something and they just refuse. NYPD 108th Watched This Graffiti Being Done Let's give some examples. Fireworks for over 5 weeks now. As you can see from the above photo, our neighborhood is being blown up every night. The cops witnessed these thugs setting off bomb after bomb and did nothing. These thugs lit the park on fire and the NYPD 108th did nothing. The cops have sat in their cars watched people spray graffiti ever...

Police Rescue Body From East River Yesterday there was a suicide in Hunters Point South Park. According to witnesses the man approached Park department workers and claimed he was being chased from Staten Island by people that wanted to kill him. Park department workers said he appeared to be on something, that he was delusional and was rambling away before he fled to the waterfront and jumped in.  Police were called to the scene right away, with the NYPD 108th precinct and the NYPD Harbor Patrol responding. The man was face down in the east river and his body was pulled onto the boat where EMS were waiting to try and revive the man. Hunters Point South Ferry Landing Gone Hornblower NYC Ferry are really putting the screws to the residents and businesses in Hunters Point South.  Hornblower was supposed to do a quick walkway replacement. But they did not plan. They removed a huge heavy steal walkway and replaced it with a lightweight aluminum walkway which sent the other side of the pier diving into the water, where it got stuck. You know, it makes sense, if you are taking a certain amount of weight from one side, you have to adjust the other side. But they did not think. When they removed the steal walkway the other side went diving into the pilings and got stuck.  Hunters Point South Ferry Landing Removed Walkway & Dock Hornblower then makes a announcement that there are tidal changes in the East River that were the cause of this. **** UNWANTED MACY'S COME'S BACK TO HUNTERS POINT SOUTH Story By: James Edstrom **** Neighbors On NBC Protesting Treatment From Macy's In 2017 Sources are alleging Macy's has been banned from their 4th of July show 2018 in the Hudson River. The store announced last year that they would be rotating the event, but communities around New York City, including many tenants in Hunters Point South who have been abused by this event the past three years, say they do not want Macy's here. This story took a lot of digging as we have hosted them for 3 years straight here in Hunters Point South and many of the residents here do not want this event. Macy's was asked for comment on this story, in fact we asked two Macy's publicity persons and they ignored our requests. We also asked them in the E-Mail to have the residents be part of the conservation so we are not locked up as they do every year for this party that only benefits Macy'...

Why I bother to even report a crime to them is beyond me. Crime has been a problem in Hunter's Point South Park. We have had a rape reported at Gantry Park located next door, there was a attempted child kidnapping a few weeks ago that the nanny did not report because she was scared. Endless amounts of graffiti are being painted all over the park and the great park employees attempt to clean up every day. Broken bottles are everywhere along with blunt wraps to smoke weed. I could care less if anyone drinks and smokes weed, but I do care when they vandalize the park. First of all the park is supposed to be closed at 10pm which is not enforced.
