Held in the gardens of the storied Thomas Halsey House, one of the oldest English colonial dwellings in New York State, the benefit drew friends, supporters, and neighbors for a joyful night of food, music, and celebration. This year’s honorees, Cheryl L. Carter and Edward R. Donovan, were presented with a proclamation by Southampton Village Mayor William Manger Jr. and a citation from NYS Assembly Member Rebecca A. JEAN SHAFIROFF & MARTIN SHAFIROFF HONORED BY SOUTHAMPTON HOSPITAL

Jean Shafiroff   Jean Shafiroff And Martin Shafiroff Vanessa Gordon Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and her husband Martin Shafiroff were honored at the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s 61st Annual Summer Party under air-conditioned tents in the fields at Wickapogue Road and Old Town Road, Southampton. The Shafiroffs are longtime supporters of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, with Jean being on the Southampton Hospital Association Board. Jean chaired the Southampton Hospital Summer Party's in 2010, 2011 and 2013 when a total of $5.4million was raised for the Hospital. The event was an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing to benefit the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department. Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events provided the ambiance and gourmet offerings, with music by Groove Society. Larry Scott’s floral décor was inspired by Jean Shafiroff’s elegant style and glamorous gowns. This year’s party was emceed by lead news anchor at WNBC Chuck Scarborough. ...
