RUSSELL CROWE TO PLAY WEREWOLF

Superstar Russell Crowe is going to play a werewolf in a new movie to be directed by his friend Ridley Scott. Scott has the script written by Ian Jeffers, and is planning to take it to the big screen, starring regular collaborator Crowe, reports Bloody-disgusting.com. The couple has worked together on a number of projects, including Academy Award-winning epic Gladiator; and they are currently preparing to shoot a Robin Hood movie, in which Crowe will play the famous outlaw as well as his nemesis the Sheriff of Nottingham. Russell Crowe's children don't like his movies.The 43-year-old actor - who has a three-year-old son Charlie and 16-month-old son Tennyson with wife Danielle Spencer - says his eldest child refuses to watch his films because he doesn't rate them very highly.Crowe said: "My children have never watched any of my films. Russell Crowe should stick to Martha Stewart ! ‘Gladiator’ star Russell Crowe is the co-owner of National Rugby League team the South Sydney Rabbitohs and is in preliminary talks with ‘Without A Trace’ star Anthony LaPaglia, who is a director and shareholder in the Sydney FC soccer team, to create a new sports ground in the city. LaPaglia, 48, is quoted by the USA Today newspaper as saying: ‘Russell and I have been talking to each other about the possibility of joining forces to achieve this goal.‘He wants a stadium, I want a stadium, and we think together there is a possibility we might be able to pull it off. We would combine forces to have a home field, and training facilities.‘We’re still trying to work out how to do it exactly, but there’s a bunch of e-mails flying backwards and forth." The two actors have been in talks for around four months about constructing a 25,000-seater stadium which both their respective teams could use.

The 'A Good Year' actor has two sons, Charlie and baby Tennyson, with wife Danielle Spencer, and admits he feels lonely when he is away from them on set. Crowe, 42, said: "I've got two boys now and the whole priority of my existence begins with what they and my wife need. Whatever they need is where every day begins. When I'm away from them when I'm working I get lonely for their company."Crowe recently admitted fatherhood had made him realise how shallow the world of celebrity is and helped him put his priorities in perspective. He said: "The world of celebrity becomes this strange place to live in. But marriage and kids have made me less concerned with it."

The 42-year-old actor, who played Roman warrior Maximus in Oscar-winning film Gladiator, says he and director Ridley Scott (left with Crowe) are always thinking up sequel ideas - despite Crowe's character dying at the end of the first movie. Crowe told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper: The idea of doing a Gladiator 2 comes up all the time but we have made it very difficult for ourselves by killing off my character in the first one. We have an idea but it never seems to have sufficient credibility. It just comes back at us and says, Are you kidding? Maybe we are kidding. Maybe we just enjoy talking about it.
