RUSSELL CROWE IN SPORTS STADIUM TALKS
‘Gladiator’ star Russell Crowe is the co-owner of National Rugby League team the South Sydney Rabbitohs and is in preliminary talks with ‘Without A Trace’ star Anthony LaPaglia, who is a director and shareholder in the Sydney FC soccer team, to create a new sports ground in the city. LaPaglia, 48, is quoted by the USA Today newspaper as saying: ‘Russell and I have been talking to each other about the possibility of joining forces to achieve this goal.‘He wants a stadium, I want a stadium, and we think together there is a possibility we might be able to pull it off. We would combine forces to have a home field, and training facilities.‘We’re still trying to work out how to do it exactly, but there’s a bunch of e-mails flying backwards and forth." The two actors have been in talks for around four months about constructing a 25,000-seater stadium which both their respective teams could use.
