On New Year’s Eve, Union Cantina celebrates the start of 2019 with a Grand Fiesta featuring a four-hour top shelf open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, a full dinner buffet plus dessert table and a live musical performance from the Bay Ridge All Stars. Guests will also enjoy an assortment of party favors while watching live television coverage of the iconic Times Square Ball Drop. Union Cantina is the perfect location to celebrate with family and friends, offering ample space for private gatherings and the 400 Rabbits Tequila Bar, featuring an exceptional cocktail program and over 100 different tequilas to enjoy.

Union Cantina won the 2018 “Best of the Best” awards for “Best Taco”, “Best Margarita”, “Best Happy Hour Bar” and “Best Mexican Cuisine” from leading Hamptons publication, Dan’s Papers. Award-winning Executive Chef Scott Kampf, previously featured on Food Network’s Iron Chefs of America, received the Gold distinction for “Best Chef”, while House Mixologist Brady received the silver distinction for “Best Bartender”. Union Cantina’s 400 Rabbits Tequila Bar – a speakeasy-inspired bar featuring a full dining menu – one of the “Best Bars”, also receiving an award.

Daily happenings continue into the New Year including the well-attended Jam Session every Thursday in the recently renovated dining room from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Diners can enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a tequila tasting table boasting premium spirits from the incredible range stocked by 400 Rabbits Tequila Bar. In the past, Union Cantina’s Jam Session has featured live musical performances from afro-cuban group The Jam Session, various saxophonists Morris Goldberg, Sergei Gurbelo, Claire Daly and James Campagnola, as well as the Noir Bop Quintet. The new year will bring new acts to continue the entertainment.

The talented bar team is led by award-winning mixologist Brady and delivers one of the best Happy Hours from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., serving half-priced tacos alongside your choice of $9.00 cocktails, $7.00 wines and $5.00 draft beers. On Margarita Mondays, enjoy Half-Priced “Margs” All Day and fun trivia games while enjoying tequila specials and half-priced tacos to complement. An extensive cocktail program and tequila menu consisting of sangrias, punches, and fun cocktails can be enjoyed any time of day. House made sangrias include the Rosé and Tome Gore Harvest served by the glass or the pitcher. Muy Caliente! is the perfect winter cocktail, served hot or cold, blending Jack Daniel’s cinnamon whiskey, apple cider and cinnamon syrup. The Social Cooler is a favorite amongst diners and includes jalapeño infused Don Julio Blanco, fresh watermelon puree and fresh lime juice on the rocks.

On the Brunch menu, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., breakfast with a contemporary Mexican twist includes the Huevos Rancheros made with crispy corn tortilla, eggs over medium, pico de gallo, cheese blends, sour cream, guacamole and yuca fries. The Churros French Toast is served with applewood bacon, mixed berries and maple syrup. Other brunch offerings include the Avocado Toast and the Mexican Omelet to pair with half-priced margaritas and brunch cocktails.

On NFL Sundays, Union Cantina plays host to traditional game day fun leading up to a yearly Super Bowl party the first weekend of February 2019. Enjoy beer and cocktail specials while watching the game all day.

Union Cantina’s atmosphere incorporates the sleekness of the Hampton’s high society with the rustic beauty of Mexican culture.
