Breakfast At OSO

Southampton Inn’s Café OSO hosted a breakfast for chefs participating in Dan’s Taste of Two Forks on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. The breakfast was an opportunity for leading chefs from across Long Island to mix, mingle and enjoy highly acclaimed pastries prepared by world renowned pastry chef Morgan Larsson.

Café OSO, Southampton Inn’s annual summer pop-up restaurant, emerged this year as a European-style patisserie, offering guests a farm-to-table dining experience, with a bounty of flavorful dishes that highlight deliciously fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, and freshly picked vegetables and herbs from the Inn’s thriving garden. Guests can enjoy a creative take on traditional American fare with a European flare, served poolside, al fresco in the recently updated courtyard or inside the intimate dining room. The restaurant’s club-casual décor creates a relaxing atmosphere where guests can enjoy a true Hamptons dining experience with style and ease. Nominated for best breakfast spot, best brunch and best coffee shop by the readers of Dan’s Papers, Café OSO is sure to please.

Breakfast at Café OSO features favorites such as Classic Buttermilk Pancakes, Fluffy French Toast, OSO Omelets made to order, and a bread and pastry basket which includes an assortment of freshly baked croissants, kardemumma braid, brioche, danishes, muffins and pain au chocolate, served with whipped butter and locally made jellies and preserves. Café OSO’s delicious tapas-style small plates are perfect for lunch or a late afternoon snack, offering diners a unique take on local favorites with signature dishes such as the Caprese Salad, Lobster Roll, Grilled Garden Vegetable Wrap and the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese. Guests can finish each meal on a sweet note, with indulgent desserts such as Summer Strawberry Shortcake and Homemade Brownies a la Mode, prepared by pastry chef Morgan Larsson.

With the sold-out success of Dan’s Taste of Two Forks over the last two summers, the one night soiree, now in its third year, has been turned into a two-day festival celebrating the food and beverage of both the North and South Forks of Long Island, taking place on Friday, July 12, 2013 and Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Sayre Park in Bridgehampton. The first night of the culinary weekend will feature the debut of GrillHampton hosted by Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, a night filled with grill masters, rivalries and most importantly, the crowning of a grilling champion, as eight Hamptons chefs and eight New York City chefs vie for the title of “Master Chef.” Saturday evening’s events will be hosted by Hamptonite, Food Network star and Iron Chef Bobby Flay and emceed by newly crowned Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Known as “THE food and wine event in the Hamptons,” attendees have the chance to sample the best dishes participating chefs have to offer, sip wines from local Long Island vineyards, and sample goods from East End purveyors, all in one night. Café OSO at Southampton Inn is also the perfect venue for private social gatherings and charity functions, as well as receptions, birthdays and corporate meetings. Custom-crafted menus can be created upon request for any occasion. With Café OSO on site, guests can rent a private restaurant in the Hamptons for an affordable price.

Café OSO is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and supper seven days a week, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
