RANDY JONES BARES ALL FOR PLAYGIRL

Half Naked Randy Jones

Saturday night, December 20th, should be rockin' and rollin' with bells, baubles and horns, seeing as the outrageous original Cowboy from Village People, Randy Jones has hit town again with a lot of noise and boo-rah! Jones is fresh off the set of the film, “Against the Wind” in which he portrays the U.S. President and in NYC to shoot a new comedy pilot, "The Harmony", for here! TV. The brand new Flatiron nightspot, The Imperial on West 19th Street (hosted by New York's party king, Keith Collins) is the site for a raucous hoe-down for the pistol-packin', platinum-selling recording artist with a new single to launch, "If I Can't Have U!". He will perform the new single as well as his hit, "Y.M.C.A." and a host of downtown, uptown and all around town pals will also celebrate his appearance in the 35th Anniversary Issue of Playgirl Magazine in which he doffs all, including chaps and jeans! We hear he keeps his hat and his boots on for the photos, thankfully! Life size blow-ups of out-takes from the photo session by Greg Weiner will be autographed and donated for auction to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. It seems Jones previously appeared in the pages of Playgirl in 1979 and the Jan/Feb 2009 Issue photos recreate those poses from the original session. Quoted from the magazine, Jones states, "I've got balls, big ones, to allow two pictures of myself taken thirty years apart to be placed side by side for comparison." And evidently he's not shy about showing them! Now not the least of this hullabaloo is the celebration and recreation of the recent installation ceremony for his and the classic Disco outfit's coveted Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which is located between those of film star Betty Grable and music personality Liberace. In addition, he'll be putting his hands in cement outside the club's facade, along with whatever other body part may happen to flop into the concrete! (Oh my!) Ah, those Denizens of Disco! They just don't make 'em like that anymore. Could we really stand it if they did?!"
