KATIE HOLMES DENIES ENQUIRER STORY

Hollywood star Katie Holmes has dismissed a tabloid's claim she secretly became pregnant with ex-fiance Chris Klein's child. The actress, who is now married to Tom Cruise, dated the Klein for five years, but broke-up from the actor in 2005. Weeks after their break-up, Holmes began dating Cruise and the couple welcomed baby daughter Suri in April 2006, before marrying in Rome, Italy, in November that year. But a close pal of Klein's recently claimed to the National Enquirer that Suri wasn't the first child Holmes had conceived, even hinting the she had undergone an abortion. The friend told the publication: "Shortly after his (Klein's) relationship with Katie ended, Chris and I had a heart-to-heart. "We were having dinner at Cafeteria, a restaurant in New York City's Chelsea district, when Chris blurted out: 'Dude, you know I got Katie preggers.' "There was a long silence. I realized Chris had said more than he had intended. My next thought was: 'What happened to the baby?' (But) from the look in Chris' eyes, I realized this was highly personal. I didn't want to probe any further." But a spokesperson for Holmes insists there is no truth to the allegations, branding the Enquirer's story "false," reports MSNBC.
