BOB GELDOF HAS CRASH WITH MOTORCYCLE

Sir Bob Geldof has thanked God for saving the motorcyclist who crashed into his car from serious injury. The 55-year-old musician was shaken after a biker collided with his silver Lexus as he was pulling out of parking space outside a Chelsea cinema in south west London the other night. Bob - who had been to see a preview screening of 'The Simpsons Movie' with daughters Pixie, 16, and 11-year-old Tiger Lily - rushed to help the man and quickly called an ambulance. The rider of the 600c Honda was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries to his knee and groin, but is expected to make a full recovery. Bob said: "Thank God he's fine. Thank God again. The main thing is he's OK. He had all this biker gear on which probably stopped a lot of damage."I was speaking to him and told him to lie still. The paramedics came and checked him. There's nothing broken which surprised me. I'm so glad."Bob - who spoke to three police officers before being picked up in a black car - insisted the incident was a complete accident. He explained to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I was pulling out and a woman stopped to let me go and the bike came up on the other side and went in to the wheel. He was sent flying. It was an accident. I indicated out and the woman stopped to let me come out. He was coming up down the middle lane. He came up on my blind side."However, a witness disputes Bob's version of events saying the anti-poverty campaigner was trying to do a U-turn on the busy King's Road. A witness said: "Bob came out of the cinema. Him and his daughters jumped into the car and instead of going the way the traffic was going he quickly did a U-turn."
