  Max B.    The newest hotspot on the East River seems to be Frank Ottomanelli's By The Water who is drawing the celebrity crowd. Last weekend Rapper Max B, (born Charly Wingate) who was convicted on 9 of 11 counts, including felony murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy and sentenced to 75 years.  His conviction was vacated after his legal team argued that his original trial attorney had a conflict of interest. He then took a plea deal for aggravated manslaughter, reducing his overall sentence to 20 years. He served 16 of those years and was released from a New Jersey Prison in Nov 2025.    Max B. THOMAS J. HENRY Renowned Texas attorney Thomas J. Henry filed a sweeping lawsuit Sunday against rapper Travis Scott as well as Aubrey Drake Graham, Live Nation and NRG Stadium in connection with a tragic event at the Astroworld music festival that left eight people dead, and dozens of others hospitalized. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of one of the victims who reached out to Thomas J. Henry Law following Friday night’s catastrophic event. Thomas J. Ja Rule has been arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.The rapper was taken into police custody on Sunday night after officers found a gun in the car he was travelling in. Ja Rule - real name Jeff Atkins - was being driven in a luxury Sedan vehicle in New York when the car was stopped for speeding. Police found a .40-caliber gun in the vehicle, and the 31-year-old rap star,the driver and another man were all arrested. A spokesman for the star has refused to comment. In 2005, Ja Rule was fined $1,200 after pleading guilty to assault.The hip-hop star became embroiled in a fight with a reveller in Toronto's LaRouge nightspot in June 2004, where he had been filming his role in crime thriller 'Assault on Precinct 13'. After pleading not guilty to a more serious assault charge, Ja Rule accepted he had delivered "one punch to the eye". Rapper Eve has been arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence after crashing her car.The rapper and actress - who starred in 'XXX' alongside Vin Diesel - narrowly escaped death after she drove her gold Maserati into the central reservation on Hollywood Boulevard at around 2.45am yesterday. The star - full name Eve Jeffers - was handcuffed by police and taken in a squad car to the Los Angeles County Jail. A witness said: "She was visibly upset. The car was totalled."There were reportedly two passengers in the vehicle at the time. In a bizarre twist, Eve was visited in jail by Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn, who was seen leaving the police station in a taxi at 4am. Rapper Snoop Dogg was charged on Tuesday with sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a gun by a convicted felon, a case that stems from his October arrest at a Los Angeles airport.The 35-year-old performer, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, could face up to four years in state prison if he is convicted on both charges. He is due in court on Wednesday. Broadus was arrested on October 25 after police at Burbank Airport, near Los Angeles, stopped him for leaving his car too long in a passenger loading area and found a gun and marijuana in his car. Prosecutors said they were unable to prove that the gun found in Broadus' car that day belonged to him, but that a later search of the performer's home turned up another firearm.He is charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm because of his 1990 felony conviction for possession of drugs for sale.
