Taylor Swift Home

Throughout 2017, many of the world's superstars tried to sell their glamorous mansions and compounds. From Beverly Hills to Florida and New York City, there was a celebrity property for almost anyone who is extremely wealthy.

“Taylor Swift Restores Samuel Goldwyn Mansion”

America’s #1 sweetheart, Taylor Swift, is one of the world’s richest celebrities with estimated career earnings from her music, concerts, acting and endorsements approaching $800 million. What to do with all that money? Taylor has invested much of it in real estate with homes in New York City, Rhode Island, Nashville and her most recent purchase of Samuel Goldwyn’s mansion in Beverly Hills. Included are a library-screening room, a guest suite with a private entrance on the home’s main level, a library, card room, gym and an additional private guest apartment above the garage. The master suite has a veranda that overlooks the city lights. Outside is a swimming pool and pool house with kitchenette and sunken tennis courts.

Goldwyn (1879-1974) founded award-winning Goldwyn Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Productions - now known as Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer with the famous roaring lion head logo. In recognition of Goldwyn’s historical contributions to the film industry, Taylor sought and achieved landmark status for her new home to ensure its preservation for future generations of movie fans. Her home is now an official Beverly Hills city landmark.

Since purchasing the home in 2015, Swift has worked closely with architects to bring the estate back close to its condition that existed in 1934 when it was built for Goldwyn and his wife, Frances. The home was a neighborhood destination for many of the era’s Hollywood stars including Clark Gable and Charlie Chaplin and used by Sam as collateral for several of his films including Wuthering Heights and his 1946 Oscar-winner The Best Years of Our Lives. After he died in 1994, the home stayed in the Goldwyn family for over 80 years until Taylor purchased it from the estate of Goldwyn’s son for $25 million.

“Ellen DeGeneres's Montecito Flip”

Ellen DeGeneres is well known for her endless energy dancing up and down the aisles of her TV show studios, headlining numerous Hollywood award shows and her frequent charity work and performances. In her spare time, Ellen is by far the #1 celebrity home flipper leaving her competitors such as Jennifer Aniston, Meg Ryan and Diane Keaton in the leftover construction dust.

Ellen and her wife, Australian–American actress Portia de Rossi’s latest real estate investment and a predominant subject in Ellen’s book, Home, is an expansive house and grounds on a Montecito, California hill overlooking the ocean and mountains and also next door to Oprah. Known as “The Villa,” it was designed by noted architect Wallace Frost after returning from Italy. Entranced by 17th-century Italian villas, this was the home he envisioned and built for himself and his family, which he replicated with great accuracy. Ellen and Portia purchased the estate in May 2013 for $26.5 million and expanded it through the acquisition of two adjacent properties, which now totals 16.88 acres. The 10,500-square-foot home includes six bedrooms, eight baths, nine fireplaces, multiple libraries, a marble-wrapped chef’s kitchen and formal rooms. An indoor-outdoor entertaining pavilion was built from stone excavated on-site with hand-made iron windows. The couple also added a lap pool, sunken championship tennis court and installed state-of-the-art irrigation, mechanical, electronic and security systems. Suzanne Perkins of Sotheby’s International Realty in Santa Barbara, California is the listing agent.

Ellen’s 1930’s Italian villa is for sale; originally priced at $45 million, it has been reduced to $39.5 million.

“Johnny Carson's Longtime Beach Home”

Unequaled late-night talk show host Johnny Carson was a standout among entertainers, to which his 30-year longevity on air is testament. Though three preceded him in the genre: Arthur Godfrey, Steve Allen and Jack Parr, it was Carson who became - and still is - the icon of late-night talk shows. He sent Americans to bed each night with a smile on their faces and was instrumental in boosting the careers of many entertainers we still enjoy today including Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Roseanne Barr, David Letterman and Jay Leno.

After he moved his show from New York City to Burbank in 1972, Carson loved to play golf and for a number of years owned a home in Bel Air. However, in the mid 1980s he bought a four-acre, cliff-top home above the celebrity-studded Point Dume community in Malibu overlooking the Pacific Ocean where he lived with third wife, Alexis, until his death in 2005. The house, designed by architect Ed Niles, is a study in wood beams, glass and indoor landscaping that blurs the line between indoors and out. On the grounds are championship tennis courts with a pavilion that has two bedrooms, kitchen, gym and locker room, a waterfall and koi pond, and another separate guest house. After Carson’s death in 2005, Alexis continued to live there for two more years before selling to film producer Sidney Kimmel and his wife, Caroline. The Kimmels restored it to its original plan and have recently put it on the market for $81.5 million. Chris.Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker, Malibu West, California is the listing agent.

“Elvis And Priscilla Presley's Palm Springs Honeymoon Love Nest”

Elvis Presley met Priscilla in Bad Nauheim, Germany in 1959 during his service in the Army when she was only 14-years-old, the daughter of an Army officer and his wife who had taken Priscilla with them to a party at Elvis’s home. Although she was only 14, Elvis couldn’t get her out of his mind and their budding relationship turned into a marriage proposal just before Christmas in 1966 - seven years later. They were married at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in May, 1967. Elvis leased The House of Tomorrow as their honeymoon house on a one-year lease for $21,000 and their child, Lisa Marie, was born exactly nine months later. The home was designed by modernist architect William Krisel and featured in a 1962 Look magazine article as “The House of Tomorrow.”

Futuristic even for today, the mid-century-modern round house is on the market with walls of glass overlooking a secluded pool terrace and views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the Coachella Valley. The 5,000-square-foot house has five bedrooms and five baths and comes with 1.16 acres of land with private garden, tennis court and orchard in addition to the swimming pool. Mary Kay Nibley of Rodeo Realty, Beverly Hills, California is the listing agent.

Now for sale at $5.9 million, the House of the Future is also well-known as the honeymoon hideaway of the King of Rock ‘n Roll which he leased in 1966-1967.

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano

At a Nassau County Press Conference with Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and Bruce Yamali of Dover Caterers, they introduced healthy eating vending machines at Long Island Schools. This seems to be the new wave out in my old stomping grounds Nassau County.

A Tribute was held on the 50th Anniversary of Marilyn Monroes Death at Maliblue in Lido Beach, Long Island. Marilyn Monroe spent lots of time and summers on Long Island. Butch Yamali, President of the Dover Catering Group attended this event.

A candlelight vigil was held by fans and local residents on the famed beach. A special  screening of "Candle in the Wind" took place to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the death of the movie goddess.  Marilyn Monroe look-a-likes adorned the event. Marilyn had visited Long Island several times and spent many summers by the beach.

In 1949, a couple of years before her film career rose to meteoric heights, Monroe was photographed at New York's Jones Beach posing in and around the pool area. The Jones Beach shoot was one her most famous photos of all time.

Godfather movie star actor and Legend Gianni Russo celebrated  the anniversary of the famous movie. The event was hosted by the Long Island Television and Film Foundation. The movie has many scenes that were filmed on Long Island. The movie is regarded as one of the most popular movies of all time.

Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe is making headlines again long after her untimely death in 1962 that was officially listed as suicide, but many conspiracy theorists claim was a murder. Now, allegedly a sex tape of the famous actress has emerged, and was recently snapped up by a very wealthy businessman. The 15-minute film of Monroe engaging in an oral sex act with an unidentified man will never be seen per the wishes of the new owner, a New York businessman who has bought it for $1.5 million, the broker of the deal said in a statement on Monday. Reuters reports that Keya Morgan brokered the sale of the silent, black-and-white film from the son of a dead FBI informant who possessed it to a wealthy Manhattan businessman who wants to protect Marilyn."The gentleman who bought it said out of respect for Marilyn he's not going to make a joke of it and put it on the Internet and try to exploit her," said memorabilia collector Keya Morgan. "That's not his intention and I would never get my name involved if that were to happen."The people who think there were other forces responsible for the death of Marilyn cite the fact it was her romantic liaisons with powerful men like U.S. President John F. Kennedy, his brother Bobby and possibly some underworld kingpins that give credence to their theories.
J. Edgar Hoover allegedly tried to prove the unseen man in the tape was in fact, John F. Kennedy. Reuters claims that Joe DiMaggio, an ex of Monroe's, once tried to buy it from the collector for $25,000 but "he would not part with it," according to declassified FBI files provided by Morgan. Morgan told Reuters he learned of the existence of the film while working on a documentary about Monroe, who died in August 1962 at age 36. A former FBI agent told him about it, and Morgan said he confirmed it by tracking down the son of the FBI informant, who had provided a copy to the FBI.The late informant's son had the original while the copy remains in the FBI files, said Morgan, whose deal was first reported by the New York Post today.
Morgan states: "The FBI agent that I interviewed said J. Edgar Hoover was completely obsessed. A team of nine individuals were analyzing the tape inside a lab. J. Edgar Hoover brought in a few prostitutes who allegedly had been with President Kennedy and they tried to ... see if that was really President Kennedy."

Marilyn Monroe

Screen goddess Marilyn Monroe once flashed her costume designer her breasts while filming the award winning movie 'Some Like It Hot'. Monroe wanted to prove they were better to look at than her co-star Tony Curtis chest. The Hollywood icon was determined to show legendary stylist Orry Kelly she was the main attraction on the set of the 1959 classic, in which Curtis plays a musician who cross-dresses to find fame. Curtis, 82, recalls, "Orry Kelly was the costume designer. He told me that, while fitting Marilyn, he told her, ‘You know, Tony’s ass is better looking than yours.’ "And Marilyn said, ‘Oh yeah? Well he doesn’t have tits like these!’ And she yanked open her blouse to prove it."

Britney Spears is set to sing a duet with the late Marilyn Monroe (left). The troubled star plans to boost her ailing career by performing with the movie icon - who died more than four decades ago - on a previously unreleased Marilyn song called 'Down Boy'. Lance Bass, 28, a former member of Britney's ex-lover Justin Timberlake's band *NSYNC, has reportedly secured the rights to the song and thinks it would be perfect for Britney. A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Lance wants Britney to sing with Marilyn on the track, like Natalie Cole did on 'Unforgettable' with her dad Nat King Cole."Plans are already in place for the 'Toxic' singer to don a platinum Marilyn-esque wig and dress like the glamour icon, when they shoot the video. Screen and music goddess Marilyn died of an overdose aged 36 in 1962. Despite being one of the most successful women of her generation, the star was believed to have battled numerous personal demons. Mother-of-two Britney, 25, recently spent a month in rehab following a bout of excessive partying and worrying behaviour, which included shaving off her hair. The singer is currently working on a new album planned for release in October and has been furiously exercising to regain her famously toned figure.

Lindsay Lohan has purchased the Los Angeles apartment that movie legend Marilyn Monroe once called home. The 20-year-old, who is currently in rehab at the Wonderland Center, is expected to move into Monroe’s former two-bedroom apartment after her treatment is completed. According to Radar, Lindsay made some money when she sold her L.A. condo for $2,495,000, offsetting a $431,000 Chateau Marmont hotel bill last year. But the El Palacio, described as “an enchanting place that screams early Hollywood—all Spanish arches and lush greenery,” has its own dark history. Though Monroe lived in the apartment in the 1950s, several years before her death in 1962, a number of high-profile deaths occurred at the complex over the last century. "In 1944, the 23-year-old heiress Georgette Bauerdorf was strangled and found facedown in her bath at her El Palacio pad. And in 1965, black screen legend Dorothy Dandridge committed suicide there by overdosing on barbituates,” report Radar sources. A neighbor at the El Palacio building, where the apartment is located, says, “We were all amazed to see Lindsay moving in.” The history obviously was not enough to scare off Lindsay. This makes sense, seeing that Lohan has been a longtime fan of the iconic and tragic actress, admitting in one recent interview she tries to emulate Monroe whenever she can - even when it came to entertaining the troops. The actress told the Post Chronicle, “I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.” “It’s so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who’s basically a pinup, which is what I’ve always aspired to be.”
