AA SLUT LINDSAY LOHAN BUYS LEGEND MARILYN MONROE'S APARTMENT

Lindsay Lohan has purchased the Los Angeles apartment that movie legend Marilyn Monroe once called home. The 20-year-old, who is currently in rehab at the Wonderland Center, is expected to move into Monroe’s former two-bedroom apartment after her treatment is completed. According to Radar, Lindsay made some money when she sold her L.A. condo for $2,495,000, offsetting a $431,000 Chateau Marmont hotel bill last year. But the El Palacio, described as “an enchanting place that screams early Hollywood—all Spanish arches and lush greenery,” has its own dark history. Though Monroe lived in the apartment in the 1950s, several years before her death in 1962, a number of high-profile deaths occurred at the complex over the last century. "In 1944, the 23-year-old heiress Georgette Bauerdorf was strangled and found facedown in her bath at her El Palacio pad. And in 1965, black screen legend Dorothy Dandridge committed suicide there by overdosing on barbituates,” report Radar sources. A neighbor at the El Palacio building, where the apartment is located, says, “We were all amazed to see Lindsay moving in.” The history obviously was not enough to scare off Lindsay. This makes sense, seeing that Lohan has been a longtime fan of the iconic and tragic actress, admitting in one recent interview she tries to emulate Monroe whenever she can - even when it came to entertaining the troops. The actress told the Post Chronicle, “I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.” “It’s so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who’s basically a pinup, which is what I’ve always aspired to be.”
