For one night only- see your favorite performers from the 70s on one stage! The Stylistics, The Emotions, The Blue Notes, The Chi-lites, The Main Ingredient with Cuba Gooding Sr. and Peaches and Herb!

THE STYLISTICS- Philadelphia-based quartet The Stylistics is one of the most accomplished soul bands ever. With their charisma, style and harmony, they evolved into a best-selling group with a remarkable 10 straight top-ten hits in the 1970’s. The band’s first single, “You’re A Big Girl Now” produced by the ingenious creator, Thom Bell, won the hearts of a nation and became a top-ten hit instantly. Under the production of Bell, The Stylistics went on to produce 12 consecutive top-ten hits from 1971-1974. This was not the end of success for the soulful Stylistics. Songs, such as the Grammy Nominated hit, “You Make Me Feel Brand New”, introduced a different, smoother style to the soul scene. As the group evolved, The Stylistics appeal to a more mature audience, while maintaining their popularity.

THE EMOTIONS- Formed in their hometown of Chicago in 1968, The Emotions originally consisted of the three Hutchinson sisters. They were signed by the R&B powerhouse label Stax Records in 1969, where the group teamed with famed songwriters Isaac Hayes and David Porter and scored a number of soul hits, including “Show Me How” and “So I Can Love You.” After Stax ran into financial troubles, the Emotions went looking for a new record contract, and found one with Columbia, thanks to Earth Wind & Fire’s Maurice White, who was a fan of the trio and who agreed to produce them. In the mid 80s the group moved to Red Label Records and then Motown, scoring modest hits with “You’re the One” and “Miss Your Love,” before briefly retiring. They regrouped in the early 90s, and released a live album in 1997. Their continued success has once again brought them on tour across the U.S.

THE BLUE NOTES- Previously known as Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, featuring Teddy Pendergrass, The Blue Notes were formed over thirty five years ago in Philadelphia. Among their credits, they have recordings of singles and albums that have reached Gold and Platinum status. "If You Don't Know Me By Now" was nominated for a Grammy Award, "The Love I Lost", "Bad Luck", "Wake Up Everybody" the list of hits become endless. Years of experience allows you to bear witness to a spell binding soul stirring performance. Because of their professionalism they have maintained all the necessary ingredients that make them special.

BLUE MAGIC- was formed in Philadelphia in 1972. Early releases were mainly confined to the R&B chart. Blue Magic became popular in 1974 with their first million-selling US Top 10 hit single “Side Show” and “Three Ring Circus”, both co-written by guitarist Bobby Eli. Blue Magic became known mostly for their smooth ballads. The album Thirteen Blue Magic Lane in 1975 maintained the group’s popularity and spawned their version of the popular dance track “We’re On The Right Track”. Blue Magic have shared the stage with such great performers as Ray, Goodman & Brown, BB King, Aretha Franklin, Jackie Wilson, Ike & Tina Turner, Black Ivory, Lionel Richie, The Commodores and Marvin Gaye to name a few.

THE MAIN INGREDIENT- Paced by the impassioned lead vocals of Cuba Gooding during their prime hit-making years, the Main Ingredient is best remembered for their 1972 classic "Everybody Plays the Fool," but released a number of other fine singles, mostly during the first half of the '70s. The Main Ingredient reached the R&B Top 30 for the first time in 1970 with "You've Been My Inspiration." Things grew steadily from there; a cover of the Impressions' "I'm So Proud" broke the Top 20, and "Spinning Around (I Must Be Falling in Love)" went Top Ten. Their album Bittersweet, became their first to hit the Top Ten on the R&B charts; its follow-up, 1973's Afrodisiac, featured several songs written or co-written by Stevie Wonder. They returned to the R&B Top Ten with "Just Don't Want to Be Lonely," which sold over a million copies and also reached the pop Top Ten, and the disco-flavored "Happiness Is Just Around the Bend”.

THE CHI-LITES- The Chi-Lites have shaped the sound of soul in the Midwest since the 1970’s. The Chi-Lites broke away from the traditional blues music of Chicago and created an original, smooth sound that captured the Windy City. With 11 top ten R&B singles during a single decade, The Chi-Lites proved to be consistent with their popular style and sound. Some of their top-selling singles on the 70’s were “Have You Seen Her” and “Oh Girl”. These soulful ballads were all embraced by a nation and topped the R&B charts. In the early 1990’s, The Chi-Lites entered the studio with a dynamic blend of all new material. Songs, such as “Happy Music” add an up-tempo flare to their music, while “Solid Love Affair” brings listeners back to a more traditional ballad. The magic of The Chi-Lites has proven to be undiminished and will always be a vital sound to Chicago soul.

PEACHES AND HERB- Peaches and Herb have established themselves as a household name. The dynamic duo’s reputation as a hit-maker has been firmly etched into public consciousness, thanks to nearly sixty records that have climbed the charts since 1967’s “Let’s Fall In Love”. The group took an 8-year hiatus in 1970, but returned in 1978 with a new Peaches and the smash hit “Shake Your Groove Thing”. They had another major hit with “Reunited” in 1980. They released a greatest hits record in the 90s and have continued to perform and tour.
