KELSEA BALLERINI @ LONDON'S UNDER THE BRIDGE

Kelsea Ballerini

Nashville, Tenn. (May 16, 2017) – Black River Entertainment’s Kelsea Ballerini made her wildly successful UK debut last week when she performed a SOLD OUT headlining concert at London’s hip UNDER THE BRIDGE nightclub, charmed viewers during several TV appearances and even popped in to chat with Steve Wright at BBC Radio 2, further showing strong international appeal that will propel the star toward new horizons this year.

Having already captured American hearts with her graceful, sincere and fun-loving brand of modern country music, Sony Music Commercial Group in conjunction with Black River Entertainment hosted the record-breaking singer/songwriter in support of the UK release of her critically acclaimed debut album THE FIRST TIME. This special UK edition features four bonus acoustic tracks along with her lead UK single, “XO” (Ballerini / Gravitt / O’Brien), now spinning on BBC Radio 2.

Kicking the week off with a packed showcase in front of the UK’s finest in media, streaming, television and radio (May 9), Ballerini was then greeted by roaring fans at UNDER THE BRIDGE (May 11) who sang along to every word of historic #1 hits like the deeply moving ballad “Peter Pan,” uptempo jams “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs,” and her fun-and-flirty Top 5 single “Yeah Boy.” Ballerini’s concert experience was described by local media as “electric” and a hint of big things to come.

“Kelsea rocked Under the Bridge last night and now she’s tested the waters here in the UK ... With a warm stage presence, an engaging personality and a set list full of great songs, Kelsea showed the UK why she’s one of the biggest new artists in Country music.” – Entertainment Focus Read the full review here.

GRAMMY nominee Kelsea Ballerini has launched to stardom after releasing three consecutive No. 1 smashes from her critically acclaimed debut album THE FIRST TIME, the PLATINUM-certified “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Peter Pan,” and GOLD-certified “Dibs,” making her the only female artist in country music history, including female duos and groups, to achieve this accolade. The talented singer-songwriter wrote or co-wrote all 12 songs on her debut. Following Top 5 hit “Yeah Boy,” Ballerini is currently in the studio working on her second album — as Entertainment Weekly named her among "The 35 Most Anticipated Albums of 2017."

The Black River Entertainment artist appeared on the cover of Billboard Magazine’s GRAMMY preview issue, was included in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” class of 2017 and featured in People Magazine’s “Beauty at Every Age” list in their iconic World’s Most Beautiful issue for 2017. She's been named “The Country Sweetheart” in People’s elite “Ones to Watch” portfolio, praised by Rolling Stone as the “Nashville It Girl,” touted by Billboard as “Country’s Next Queen,” and selected as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. After her 2016 headline THE FIRST TIME TOUR — which visited dozens of cities across the U.S. and included sold-out shows in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City; Los Angeles; and more — she joined Thomas Rhett for his HOME TEAM TOUR and will next embark on Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR. Awarded Billboard’s “Rising Star” honor at the prestigious 2015 Women in Music event, Ballerini has continued to gain recognition by scoring her first-ever ACM Award win for New Female Vocalist of the Year, Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, multiple Radio Disney Music Awards and the American Country Countdown Award (ACCA) for Breakthrough Female of the Year.

BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS PRESENTS LINDA EDER

Linda Eder

Englewood, New Jersey – Bergen Performing Arts Center located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey presents Linda Eder-Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 8PM. Call the Box Office at 201.227.1030.

Showcasing one of the greatest voices of our time, Linda Eder’s diverse repertoire spans Broadway, Standards, Pop, Country, and Jazz. When she performs “live” in concert, it is amazing to experience the ease with which she moves back and forth from one genre to another as if she were gifted with the vocal ability to perform each genre as well as all the others. Eder’s appearance on the 1987 season of “Star Search,” during which she won for an unprecedented 12 straight weeks, which attracted the attention of audiences and record companies alike, propelled her to stardom.

Eder launched her recording career in 1991 with her self-titled debut album and soon established a vital niche as America’s most popular and acclaimed new interpreter of Pop, Standard and Theatrical genres. She released two more solo albums before starring in the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde beginning on April 28, 1997. As the tragic character “Lucy” in this new musical, Eder blew the roof off New York City’s Plymouth Theatre eight times a week as she belted out her signature songs “Someone Like You” and “A New Life.” Her Broadway debut, for which she was rewarded with a Drama Desk nomination, sent her already rapidly rising star blazing across the sky securing her a spot as one of America’s most beloved singers and dynamic “live” performers.

After leaving Broadway, Eder’s recording career continued “full steam ahead” with her discography to date being comprised of 16 solo recordings and numerous musical recordings. She focused on mostly Broadway, Standard and Pop music for many years, which highlighted her abundant vocal gifts as well as her skill for delivering dramatic, emotionally resonant interpretations of mostly familiar songs while making them her own. Her highly successful first Christmas album, Christmas Stays the Same, is a perfect example of the way she is able to transform and interpret best loved Christmas music and make it her own without compromising the original.

In 2008, Eder stepped outside the box and her familiar “wheelhouse” to record The Other Side of Me, a Country Pop blend of contemporary music, which included a song written by Linda herself. And, in June, 2010, she and Clay Aiken covered Roy Orbison’s “Crying” as a duet on Aiken’s album, Tried & True.

In 2013, Linda established her own record company under the name Tressamail, Inc., and in that same year she released her first recording on that newly established label, the highly acclaimed Christmas Where You Are. Eder has released two additional recordings on her own record label. In 2014, she released her first ever “live” CD, LindaLIVE, which was recorded in Saratoga, New York before a wildly enthusiastic crowd. Most recently in November, 2015, she released Retro Volume 1. This latest CD features 14 tracks written by Frank Wildhorn, Jack Murphy, Jason Howland, Leslie Bricusse, Nan Knighton, Baird Jarman, and Maury Yeston. This CD is filled with the kind of lush, sweeping Broadway-esque melodies that first introduced Linda’s voice to her many fans.

She has appeared on television numerous times. TrailMIX, her prime time Animal Planet special about singers with a passion for horses, was a natural extension of her love for animals. She has been featured on numerous PBS television concert specials including Clay Aiken’s Tried & True, Hallelujah Broadway, Linda Eder: The PBS Concert, Best of Broadway: Broadway The Leading Ladies, Best of Broadway: The Love Songs, Jim Brickman Plays The Disney Songbook, and more.

The concert stage remains the mainstay of Eder’s career. She has performed for sold-out crowds in venues across the country and throughout Europe. She has performed at many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, The Palace Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, Wolftrap, New York City’s Town Hall, Davies Hall, among many others. Always touring in great company, her collaborators have included the late Oscar-winning composer and pianist Marvin Hamlisch, Emmy and Grammy winner Michael Feinstein, and conductor of the Boston Pops Keith Lockhart. Eder is happiest on stage singing for her audiences and spreading the joy she exudes.

JOHNNY MATHIS TO PLAY BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS

Johnny Mathis

Englewood, New Jersey – Bergen Performing Arts Center located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey presents Johnny Mathis: The 60th Anniversary Tour, a part of the Benzel-Busch Motor Car Corp Concert Series-Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 8PM. Purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com or Box Office at 201.227.1030.

“There are a number of good singers, a smaller handful of truly great singers, and then there’s Johnny Mathis.” - Letter from Barbra Streisand

Born in 1935, the fourth of seven children, Johnny Mathis sang in the church choir, school functions, community events, for visitors in their home as well as amateur shows in the San Francisco area. He was also a successful track & field athlete, and was offered a chance to compete in the Olympic Trials. In the same week Columbia Records called, so he chose to go to New York to record his first album in March of 1956.

Best-known for his supremely popular hits like “Chances Are," "It's Not For Me To Say," and "Misty,” Johnny has recorded more than 80 albums, 6 Christmas albums, and has sold millions of records worldwide. During his extensive career he has had 3 songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, achieved 50 Hits on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary Chart, and ranks as the all-time #6 album artist in the history of Billboard’s pop album charts. He has received 5 Grammy Nominations, and in 2003 he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He continues to be Columbia Records longest signed recording artist.

In spite of a very busy tour schedule & many charity events, Johnny still finds time to enjoy a little free time. He was an avid tennis player until the late 1960s, when a good friend turned him on to his now life-long love of golf. He plays golf almost every day when he's not traveling and has also sung at many golf banquets such as the Ryder Cup. 2016 marks his 60th anniversary as a recording artist, so what’s next for Johnny? “I don’t think about retiring. I think about how I can keep singing for the rest of my life. I just have to pace myself.”
