GREENZYS FIRST ANNUAL FAMILY CELEBRATION

Ron Robinson/Fred Segal and Greenzys kicked off Earth Day with a star-studded event at their legendary Melrose Avenue store in Los Angeles. The Greenzys First Annual Family Celebration welcomed Ed Begley, Jr., Rachelle Carson Begley and Hayden Begley as the Greenzys Family Ambassadors. Co-Hosts included the Arbor Day Foundation and EMA along with entertainment industry notables Julie Ashton-Barson (Julie Ashton Casting), David Garfinkle (Renegade 83), Lance Klein (WME), Rob Lotterstein (Executive Producer/"Shake It Up"), Michael Orland ("American Idol"), Diane Robina (TV Guide Network), Rena Ronson (UTA), Maira Suro (Universal Cable Productions) and Steven J. Wolfe (Sneak Preview Productions).

The store was the filled with chic celebs who support green causes. The stunning actress Amanda Seyfried was spotted inside the store purchasing Greenzys prior to the "Green Carpet" event that kicked off the celebration. The green carpet featured a wide range of environmentally conscious stars of all ages including Ed Begley Jr., Rachelle Carson-Begley with their daughter Hayden, Nancy Allen, Kristin Cavallari, Mason Cook (Spy Kids), Carolyn Hennesy, Sally Kellerman, James Van Der Beek, and cast members Davis Cleveland, Roshon Fegan, Adam Irigoyen, Kenton Duty, Caroline Sunshine, and R. Brandon Johnson from the hit Disney Channel series "Shake It Up".

A speech was given by John Duran, Mayor of the City of West Hollywood which included a special message from the City of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who reinforced the city's passion towards keeping Los Angeles on the cutting-edge of green technology and preserving the city's unique and precious environment. Ed Begley Jr and Rachelle Carson-Begley spoke eloquently on how they as family make a difference. Arbor Day Foundation and EMA discussed their programs targeted to families, children and schools. Greenzys Founders Mark Lieber and Lisa Keyser, along with Adam Newman were also on hand along with author Danielle Mentzer, who autographed copies of "The Greenzys", the children's book that introduces the Greenzys characters and tells the story of the the importance of green living.

The Greenzys First Annual Family Celebration brings education and awareness to families about the importance of preservation and conservation of our planet and how we as citizens can do simple things every day to be "green"
