African American Media Network Executive Director Makakuvu Ali El Bey and Bikini Ad Model and Civil Rights Activist Monica Watkins and Martin Silver of Star Industries joined dozens of models wearing Georgi bikinis in a protest against the State of New York MTA, outside the MTA Michael J. Quill Bus Depot on 41st Street between 10th and 11th Avenue.

A popular Georgi Vodka ad featuring an African American woman wearing a bikini has been banned in certain Brooklyn neighborhoods after being deemed obscene by religious communities. Community civil rights leaders and officials from Star Industries had a huge protest at the State of New York MTA to speak out against the censorship of it's ads. Silver spoke about censorship and reminded the MTA that if they don't run the ads, the people of New York City will have to pay more to ride the subway and buses. Silver also reminded the MTA that they have a huge deficit and it is about time they wake up and stop the censorship.
