PENNY MARSHALL DENIES CANCER GOSSIP

Penny Marshall is laughing off all the gossip that she's battling cancer and is insisting the media gets things "cockeyed" at times. The Laverne and Shirley star reportedly underwent surgery to treat a brain tumor, according to a tabloid report, but Penny is asking her fans not to believe everything they hear. Attending the Safe At Home gala in New York City on Friday night, she told the show "Extra," "I'm fine, I know there's all that crap in the paper, but I'm here, I'm walking, I'm talking. They get it a little cockeyed sometimes."
