NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution’s “The Steve Wilkos Show” is teaming with national non-profit organization USA Cares to help raise awareness and make a difference in the lives of U.S. military personnel and their families.To kick off its second season in national syndication, “The Steve Wilkos Show” is joining forces with USA Cares to produce a national PSA campaign, create in-show messaging, participate in national and local fundraising events, co-branded online initiatives and much more.Wilkos, a former Marine and Chicago Police Officer, will serve as a national spokesperson for the organization and will be traveling the country to help get the word out for USA Cares. Wilkos, the married father of two young children, has a special place in his heart for those in the service, veterans and for the families left behind by those serving overseas.“As a former Marine, I couldn’t be more proud to support an organization like USA Cares,” says Wilkos. “USA Cares provides military families and veterans with critical resources and I cannot think of a more deserving group of people to support. Steve, thank you for your support of this great little organization USACares, and your continued support of our Nation by standing up and helping to raise funds for our service men and women, and their family.
Those left behind are serving and sacrificing for us and our Nation as much as those who are deployed.
As a retired soldier, I wish USA Cares had been around to help my troops in need.
