The Southampton Hospital Foundation hosted it's 50th Annual Summer Party, The Golden Gala, over the weekend. The event took place under the tents, designed by Tony Urrutia, on Wickapogue Road in Southampton, and was chaired by both Jean Remmel FitzSimmons and Ann Grimm. The Golden Anniversary Benefactor was Brooks Brothers. NBC veteran news anchor Chuck Scarborough was the MC. As in past years, the evening benefited the Hospital's Department of Emergency Medicine. Following the gold theme many of the ladies simmered in gold fabric and sequins. The party included music by Alex Donner and dinner catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Also featured was a silent auction and a raffle of trips and prizes including a one-week stay in a Paris apartment, diamond and gold earrings from Buccellati, a sponsor of the evening handbags by Valentino, Michael Kors and Ferragamo and more.
