  Ellen Scarorough And Chuck Scarborough The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF Hamptons) hosted the Bow Wow Meow Ball in the William P. Rayner Training Center which honored Ellen and Chuck Scarborough with the Champion of Animals Award in recognition of their more than twenty-five years of loyal support to ARF and their compassion towards animals in need.  The celebration of ARF’s life-saving work for over 50 years took place on the 22-acre campus in East Hampton where over 400 guests from New York City and the Hamptons enjoyed cocktails, followed by dinner catered by Olivier Cheng within an elegant setting. Peter Marino along with his daughter and ARF Board Member Isabelle Trapnell Marino presented the Scarboroughs their award. Gala raising funds to contribute to their mission to rehabilitate and successfully release animals back into the wild across Eastern Long Island.  Michael Hayes was honored at this year's Gala, held at the Southampton Arts Center and the event chairs for this year’s benefit were Ingrid Edelman, Jane Gill, Missy Hargraves, Jonathan McCann and Lisa Baron Schenker. Attended by 400 guests, the event raised over $200,000 for the foundation. Starting at 6pm, a small group attended a champagne reception and tour of the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at the Southampton Hospital. Attendees bore witness to the unveiling of ‘The Martin and Jean Shafiroff Examination Room’, and the donation of two beautiful Pink Dogwood trees in honor of Chuck and Ellen Scarborough that will flank the new center entrance upon its opening. The Shafiroff’s and the Scarborough’s names, and those of Robert Chaloner and Oscar Mandez were all added to the centers Wall of Honor.
