DALIA FORMAN DESIGN WILL PRESENT "THE LANGUAGE OF COLOR" @ MIAMI ART WEEK

Peter Lane Flourish 2026

Dalia Forman Design will present The Language of Color, an exhibition bringing together international artists whose work explores the powerful relationship between color, texture, craftsmanship and human emotion. Presented at CONTEXT Art Miami from December 1st – 6th, 2026, the exhibition invites collectors, designers and art enthusiasts to discover how artistic expression transcends cultural boundaries through a shared visual language.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami Art Week, The Language of Color brings together the work of acclaimed New York ceramic artist Peter Lane, contemporary Israeli painter Marc Provisor, Argentine textile designer Carolina Pavetto by Mantara and Argentine painter Néstor Neyret. Through sculpture, painting, lighting and traditional textile techniques, the exhibition traces a creative journey from the physical transformation of natural materials to the complexities of the modern human experience.

At the heart of the exhibition is Flourish, a sculptural lamp created through a collaboration between Dalia Forman and Peter Lane. Combining Lane’s distinctive ceramic craftsmanship with Forman’s design vision, the work features a dramatic black-and-bronze patina that transforms with the changing light. By day, its sculptural form commands attention through its rich textures and dark, earthy presence. By night, illumination reveals an entirely different character, turning the functional object into a glowing artistic statement.

Nestor Neyret Coda 2024

Based in Brooklyn, Lane is recognized for his monumental ceramic furniture, architectural installations and decorative works. Working from his 10,000-square-foot studio, he employs physically demanding techniques that celebrate the raw, elemental character of clay. His creations have been incorporated into projects by prominent architects and interior designers, including Peter Marino, Chahan Minassian, Jamie Bush and Emily Summers. His collaboration with Forman brings this distinctive artistic language into the world of contemporary lighting, where sculpture and function meet.

The exhibition’s exploration of color continues through the paintings of Marc Provisor, whose work reflects a deeply personal relationship with beauty, conflict and resilience. Born in Philadelphia and based between Israel and New York, Provisor draws upon his experiences of war, memory and the human condition to create compositions that move between abstraction and recognizable forms. His use of warm reds and cool blues creates an emotional dialogue between urgency and tranquility, inviting viewers to consider the contrasting forces that shape contemporary life.

For Provisor, painting became a means of processing the experiences of military service, beginning during the 1982 Lebanon War when a friend gave him a watercolor set. That early encounter with artistic expression developed into a career spanning exhibitions in Israel, Europe and the United States. His paintings continue to explore the fragile balance between beauty and chaos, offering a compelling counterpoint to the exhibition’s sculptural and textile works.

The relationship between color and cultural memory takes another form in the work of Carolina Pavetto by Mantara, whose textile creations celebrate the ancestral weaving traditions of Argentina’s Santiago del Estero region. Her featured work, El color del Oro (The Color of Gold), transforms sheep’s wool into a richly textured composition using the traditional Chusi cut-pile technique and natural dyes. Its deep golden-yellow tones evoke the warmth of the earth while honoring the generations of artisans whose skills continue to shape contemporary textile design.

Mantara’s approach places craftsmanship, sustainability and community at the center of the creative process. Working with artisans to preserve traditional techniques while developing contemporary designs, the project connects artistic innovation with cultural heritage. Within The Language of Color, the work offers visitors a tactile encounter with color, demonstrating how natural materials and inherited knowledge can become powerful forms of contemporary expression.

Completing the international presentation is Argentine painter Néstor Neyret, whose distinctive visual language draws upon the energy of urban life and the emotional complexities of modern society. Born in Rosario, Argentina, Neyret developed his artistic practice through studies in graphic design and industrial textile design before establishing a studio in Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter. His compositions employ strong geometric planes, bold black outlines and contrasting colors to create vivid narratives that explore identity, human relationships and the tensions of contemporary existence.

Together, the artists offer four distinctive perspectives on the expressive possibilities of color. From the transformation of clay into illuminated sculpture to the emotional intensity of painting and the cultural resonance of handwoven textiles, The Language of Color presents contemporary art as a conversation between materials, traditions and the human imagination.
