I've forgotten more boxing than most people know, and I've seen Mick Tohill fight. I can tell you that he probably had the greatest pair of hands ever to come out of Ireland or Britain. He made two Olympic teams, beat the Cubans, the Russians and the Americans, and was once ranked #1 in the world. I heard that he was offered and declined pro contracts, but he would have been a great pro fighter. I've watched him at Kingsway Gym over the years, and he is one of the best trainers for boxing or fitness that I've seen - a cut above. From what I can tell, he seems like a really good guy also. I would highly recommend him.

Mick is a terrific trainer, for the serious boxing student or anyone seeking a challenging fitness workout. Celebrity clientele aside (and he has trained everyone named above and more) he is what anyone seeking a fitness coach should want--a knowledgeable and enthusiastic motivator who can transform drudgery into an a challenging but really good time.

My girlfriend is not a boxer and she is very petite, but she trains with Mick for fitness, core, a little boxing etc. The workouts make me tired just to watch but she gets great results and likes (( them a lot. he makes them fun. I agree with the first comment - Mick is a very nice guy and a really good trainer. He is also one seriously tough guy even though he isnt big. He also trains David Wright the Mets allstar, and he is having a great season. Good guy and good trainer.
