NO EVIDENCE ON PRINCESS DIANA MURDER

The coroner presiding over the inquest into the death of Princess Diana has told a London court there is "no evidence" to suggest she was murdered.The British royal and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed were killed in a Paris, France car crash in 1997.Fayed’s father, business mogul Mohamed Al Fayed, is convinced the couple was murdered, and, during his testimony at the High Court in February, maintained his belief that they were assassinated by British security services acting on the orders of Prince Philip, the husband of British monarch Queen Elizabeth II.The inquest aims to establish whether Diana and Dodi were the victims of an accident, or if they were the targets of an assassination plot headed by the British royal family, as claimed by Al Fayed. However, summing up the inquest for the jury today, Lord Justice Scott Baker dismissed Al Fayed’s claims saying: "Various propositions… have been shown to be so demonstrably without foundation that they are no longer being pursued...

NEW TELL ALL BOOK ON PRINCESS DIANA

A new book about the late DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES claims she married PRINCE CHARLES for his title and lied about throwing herself down the stairs when she was pregnant.The book, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of the princess’ death in a Paris, France car crash in August 1997, has been written by her friend, the New Yorker editor Tina Brown. Among other claims, Brown alleges Diana and Charles had sex on the royal train before they married - and that Charles only cheated on the princess after her eating disorders and hysteria became too much to endure. Other friends of the Princess have denied the claims in the book, which will be released on June 12th in the US and UK.

Lindsay Lohan wants to play Princess Diana in a movie about the late royal's life.The 'Mean Girls' star - whose mother Dina recently compared her to the late princess because she is so harassed by the paparazzi - is a big fan of Diana and would love to portray her in a movie. Lindsay told In Touch Weekly magazine: "It would be fantastic to play her. She gave back a lot and was such an amazing woman."The 20-year-old actress - who left rehab last month after being treated for alcoholism - is also planning to follow in the princess' footsteps by doing some charity work.
