Former Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, is going to try and sell the story about his alleged lovechild if DNA test results prove he is the father of teenager Ashley Kaufmann. But according to a new report, he has already approached OK! and People magazines asking for $20,000 for the rights to his story should the paternity tests reveal he is the teen's father. Bosses at both publications, however, have apparently turned down his offer with a representative for People denying Lohan had approached them, and OK! insisting. "We're not interested." Former Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael, has undergone DNA testing with hopes of proving he is not the father of a secret lovechild. Lohan has admitted to having an affair with Kristi Kaufmann during a period in 1995 when he and his now ex-wife Dina had been separated. But the born-again Christian has denied Kaufmann's allegations. She has 13-year-old daughter Ashley, and he has instructed his lawyers to seek the truth of his former mistress' claims. LOHANS HEAD BACK TO NEW YORK COURT

Hollywoods own Lindsay Lohan's mom and dad have asked the press to leave them alone as they begin a new battle over who gets the children. Michael and Dina Lohan returned to family court in Long Island, New York today, after Michael complained his ex-wife was violating a previous agreement by refusing him access to their youngest children Ali, 14 and Dakota, 11. But the pair appeared to have made some steps towards reconciliation and Judge Stacey Bennett told the court: "I’m encouraged to hear that the parties and counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and the father." The case was adjourned until July 14th. The former couple posed in silence on the courthouse steps while a spokesperson appealed to the media to back off. The representative said, "Both the parties want the press to know they love their children very much. They want the press to stay out of their lives. They are doing what’s in the best interests of the children and they would appreciate that they are allowed to participate in their children’s lives without the press." Dina is currently starring alongside her youngest children in reality show Living Lohan, while Michael has signed a deal to critique it in a magazine.

Dad of the year, Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay is cashing in on his ex-wife Dina's new reality television show Living Lohan, by signing a magazine deal to air his views about the new program in a weekly column.The Television show follows manager and mother Dina, as she steers the careers of daughter Ali, 14 and her son Cody, 11. The show premiered on E! network over the weekend. And Michael Lohan, who has opposed the show since its inception, is making sure his rantings are heard in his column for OK! magazine. In the first installment of Michael’s writings, he lashes out at ex-wife Dina and admits that he is "concerned" by what he has seen so far of her parenting ethics. But he is refusing to go into much detail just now. He says, "Well, let’s see… If I were to look at things from a worldly perspective, I would probably have a lot to say about exploitation, hypocrisy and even deception - and maybe at a later date, I might just do so."I’ve had a sneak peek at some future episodes and I will say that some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me - again, I can address that when they appear on the show." Michael, who served time in prison in 2005 after being found guilty of driving under the influence and other charges, also urges Dina to set a positive example to their kids. He adds, "If this show is about the being a mother and a manager, the most important thing is to set a good example by instilling positive values, and doing what’s right for the kids’ sake. Not for our own!"

McGraw claims Spears’ mother, Lynne, asked him to visit her daughter in hospital but the family distanced themselves from the TV star when he went public with his findings. But Lohan insists McGraw was only trying to help. He tells U.S. news show Extra, "He’s out trying to reach out to Britney. Michael - who has successfully battle drink and drug addiction - will take his daughter away as part of the clinic's out-patient therapy program. He told the New York Daily News newspaper: "I'm looking forward to spending the next week with her. We've been in constant phone contact. She's in a great, great place now. I've never heard her so honest, remorseful and focused."Lindsay is weeding out all the bad. She is taking a step back and re-evaluating her life. What she tells - her honesty and openness - has brought me to tears. It's beyond words how proud I am of her."Sources close to Lindsay - who was reunited with her father last month after a two-year estrangement - believe Michael is the perfect person to help the actress get clean. LINDSAY Lohan got into a screaming match with her mother, Dina, in an Upper East Side restaurant, told her to "go to hell" and stormed off, leaving the older woman in tears. On Thursday night, Lindsay reluctantly joined Dina for Dina's birthday celebration at Phillipe on East 60th Street. "Lindsay got a call from her mother telling her to come to the party," said a spy. "Lindsay didn't want to go, because her mother was drinking already, but she went anyway." All was well until the first course arrived. "When Lindsay got there, her mother and her four friends were into their second bottle of Cristal," said a restaurant goer. "Right after the first course, they started fighting." The two began cursing each other in front of other patrons in the crowded Chinese eatery, including Ryan Cabrera, Brandy and Serena Williams at nearby tables. "A mortified" Lindsay finally told her mother to "go to hell!" before she exited. After Lindsay left, Dina started "crying and shaking . . . Dina typed vigorously on her BlackBerry for 45 minutes while her friends were just sitting there, and when the birthday cake came out, she broke out crying again - even louder." The unhappy birthday girl - who calls herself the "white Oprah" - also made "five trips to the bathroom in 90 minutes and came back to the table sniffling each time," said our witness. The tired and emotional Dina was so distraught that she started "throwing fortune cookies at the waiters and flipping them off." Finally, after four hours of partying, the $2,000 bill was paid - with no tip for the waiters, who then "had to help her out of the restaurant as it closed down for the night." Lindsay, meanwhile, seemed to be on her best behavior at the Calvin Klein party at 7 World Trade Center, though she seemed upset by her mom's meltdown. Lindsay was spotted in tears at one point as she mingled with Drew Barrymore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mischa Barton,Margherita Missoni and Carine Roitfeld.
Later, having calmed down, she ended the night among friends at Bungalow 8.
