**** GAY CLAY GO AWAY **** Clay Aiken Gay Clay Aiken is lending his support to a gay rights rally in North Carolina. The former American Idol singer is delivering a speech at the event this weekend. Clay, who came out of the closet in 2008, will join the activists at the Human Rights Campaign Carolinas gala in his hometown of Raleigh. But Clay is snubbing the pre-prepared speech written for him by the protest organizers because it takes aim at former U.S. president George W. Bush. Instead, the singer has come up with his own words to deliver at Saturday’s rally. He says, "I don’t feel like this is the place to be horribly politically charged and bash people and talk about the wrongs that have been done. My goal is to be hopeful, that it’s time for everyone to have equal rights." Lesbian actress Meredith Baxter, who previously starred on the hit television show Family Ties, will also make an appearance at the event. She declared her sexuality in a magazine expose last year. KELLY CLARKSON HAS VERY BAD GAYDAR

Image
Gay Clay Not very smart Kelly Clarkson had no idea her American Idon Pal Clay Aiken was gay. She is insisting the news caught her completely "off guard". Aiken confirmed his gay-ness last September, but Clarkson was shocked by her friends revelation. She tells Attitude magazine, "The funniest part was when Clay told me on tour and I honestly had no clue! I have zero Gaydar. No, I’ve actually dated someone and then they’ve told me later on that they actually had experimented and I was like "Really?" I would never have guessed that. I have the worst Gaydar in the world. "And he caught me off guard because he is very dirty! He says dirty jokes about girls, he’s got that Frasier wit, so smart. I didn’t see it coming. But I remember Clay told me one night on the bus, and I was like "What?" Not. A. Clue." Photos By: Sara De Boer/Retna

CLAY AIKEN COMES OUT OF THE CLOSET

Image
Closet case Clay Aiken is coming out of the closet. The former American Idol star will ‘come out’ in the new issue of People magazine, as part of a photo spread featuring him and his new baby son Parker, who was born in August. In the exclusive, Aiken explains he decided to tell the truth because "I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things." The singer has been dogged by gay rumors for the past two years after an alleged one-night stand took his story to the tabloids. Aiken has refused to talk about his sexuality ever since. He’s not the first star to ‘come out’ to People magazine, pop star Lance Bass confirmed he was gay in the publication in 2006. Editors Note: We think it sucks that the flamboyant, not so good singer stayed in the closet. Kids kill themselves every day because they are gay. If more stars would come out kids would have a role model to look up too and would not have all those horrible guilt feelings. Now I'm sure Clay will start being honored at all t...

CLAY AIKEN'S OUT OF THE CLOSET FIGHT

Image
Former American Idol Clay Aiken cut short an interview with a Newsweek magazine reporter after refusing to answer a series of very personal questions. Journalist Ramin Setoodeh was quizzing the 'NOT GAY' star on his upcoming Broadway debut in "Monty Python's Spamalot" when the reporter chose to ask Aiken about a series of recent controversies surrounding his life. These included a fight Aiken allegedly had with a woman on a plane and an ongoing speculation about his sexuality, which culminated in a spat between Television hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Kelly Ripa. O'Donnell was fast to defend Aiken after Ripa appeared to attack the singer's rumored homosexuality when he was a co-host on her morning show. But Aiken took offense to Setoodeh's questions, repeating, "I'm not going to talk about it," or, "I'm not going to discuss it." He then turned on the reporter when he asked Aiken what he wanted to talk about, hissing, "...

ROSIE O'DONNELL AND KELLY RIPA CAT FIGHT

Image
Just in time for feel-good, let's-all-bury-the-hatchet-and-just-freakin'-love-one-another winter holiday season ... Rosie O'Donnell has found herself a new enemy. That enemy would be rival talk-show personality Kelly Ripa. Rosie's ripping Ripa because Ripa ripped Clay Aiken, who, for a pleasant, mild-mannered lad, sure seems to have a knack for getting people fired up. And, believe us, people are fired up. And Clay, by the way, still isn't saying whether he's ... well, you know. Anyway, the whole business started last Friday when Clay was a guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly." Ripa claims Clay was hostile toward her on the show and took great exception to the fact that Clay jokingly put his hands over her mouth during an interview."I don't know where that hand has been," Kelly snapped. ( I KNOW WHERE THAT HAND HAS BEEN! ) On Tuesday, a revved-up Rosie called Kelly's comment "homophobic.""To me, that's a homophobic ...
