Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist and fashion icon, once again hosted Times Square Fashion Week2023 . The event took over Times Square NYC with the largest attendance in NYFW that included over 10,000 spectators. Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine attended and was a sponsor. NYS Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright also attended and presented awards. Dee Rivera, Time Square Fashion Week founder and producer, was also on-hand for this exciting fashion event.

Jean Shafiroff, dressed in a Oscar de la Renta red silk ball gown , said of the show, “ It is an absolute honor to host this event that showcases the unique talents of some of our most creative new fashion designers. The setting, Times Square, could not be more representative of New York City and its incredible ability to shine as one of the most spectacular cities in the world. We are extremely thankful for the support of Mark Levine and Rebecca Seawright. Dee Rivera does a great job organizing this event!”

This one day event featured designers from Australia, Yukon Alaska , and Tennessee. Designers included Merci Dupre Clothiers with Envirem presented by Christina Rahm and DRC Ventures, Outer by Simone Zleao, Teddy McRitchie Design by Teddy McRitchie and Yukon Indie designer Kaska Dena Designs by Natasha Peter.
One of the highlights of the show was the presentation of the “I Love NY Awards" given out by NYS Assemblymember Rebecca Seawright. These awards served as a testament to the talent and dedication of those shaping the fashion landscape. Dr. Christina Rahm, the visionary designer and founder of Merci Dupre Clothiers, ENVIRoware, DRC Ventures, and Root Brands, received the Sustainable Fashion Award.
New to the Show was an activation from MetaburnettNYC featuring a multi-faceted fashiontech experience that had models walk with designer collections and QR Codes pre-show where attendees had a chance to win a $500 Swag Bag.
Dee Rivera, Producer and Founder of DCG Media Group welcomed VIP attendees and other guests , and shared the evolution of Times Square Fashion Week and the opportunity to have diversity and inclusion in NYFW.
