Like something out of a Fellini film, Il Gattopardo, residing in the Rockefeller Townhouses in Midtown West, offers authentic southern Italian cuisine in a sleek, mid-century modern dining room. The restaurant will offer a festive selection of Italian seasonal favorites for the holidays.



Christmas will include both specials and a la carte options. Among the holiday dishes are an appetizer of puntarelle (crispy Italian wild chicory) with lemon, anchovies, and extra virgin olive oil; an organic faro and porcini mushroom soup; risotto with clams and shaved red mullet “bottarga”; pan seared loin of lamb in red wine sauce and lentils; Dover sole broiled in extra virgin olive oil and lemon, served with winter caponata; and for dessert, Struffoli, a traditional Italian Christmas sweet.



For New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will be serving a variety of specials in addition to the a la carte menu. Specials will include appetizers such as a section of west coast oysters in a mignonette sauce; a soup of organic farro and porcini mushrooms; pasta such as an artisanal ravioli filled with lobster on its own sauce; entrees including traditional “Cotechino con Lenticchie” (Italian fresh sweet pork sausage slow cooked with organic lentils and herbs); and dessert such as warm chocolate lava cake with caramel gelato. For New Year’s Day, the restaurant will be open for dinner, serving chef’s specials and the a la carte menu.

Christmas at The Leopard will feature appetizers such as a Christmas salad of clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and octopus in fresh lemon dressing, served on a bed of baby greens and parsley; a classic homemade Parmigiano and veal tortellini soup made with free-range chicken broth; risotto with artichoke and crab meat; oven roasted baby goat scented with rosemary, served with peas and roasted potatoes; broiled Mediterranean Branzino, olive oil, and lemon, served with braised escarole; and classic Italian Christmas treat Struffoli.



New Year’s Eve will include a special prix fixe menu, priced at $170 pp, featuring four courses of Italian favorites. (The a la carte will not be available after 10:00PM.) Dishes include a section of West Coast oysters in a mignonette sauce as an appetizer; organic farro and porcini mushroom soup; risotto with prosecco, winter radicchio, and stracchino cheese; traditional “Cotechino con Lenticchie” (Italian fresh sweet pork sausage slow cooked with organic lentils and herbs); and a dessert of nougat and buffalo ricotta parfait in a chocolate sauce. A favorite for foodies and celebrities alike, MAMO is among the hottest dining spots in SoHo. The Christmas selections—offered as either a $105 prix fixe or sold individually as specials—and New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu ($125pp; $175pp with special Italian tasting antipasti) offer a variety of the flavorful Italian offerings that have become synonymous with the restaurant’s name.



Christmas menu items include warm tomato soup with mozzarella, basil, and crispy bread; steamed lobster with citrus and fresh herbs (and optional caviar); homemade ricotta and spinach ravioli, butter, sage, and parmigiana (with optional truffle); branzino fillet, black Italian rice, roasted carrots with lemon, and capers sauce; and Neapolitan zeppole with vanilla pastry cream and amarena cherry.



For New Year’s Eve, the restaurant’s prix fixe menu treats guests to antipasti offerings of roasted Romanesco, anchovy sauce, and parmesan; smoked salmon with its sides, lettuce, and fennel seeds croutons; and beef carpaccio with truffle sauce, apple, arugula and pecorino; truffle raviolini served as a primi; and main courses of red snapper fillet, broccoli, and “scapece” cauliflower; beef tenderloin, seasonal roasted vegetables, truffled mash potatoes, foie gras, and gravy. The meal ends with chocolate mousse with citrus, raspberries, and pistachios.

From the moment you view La Pulperia’s Brazilian reclaimed wood floors and sumptuous red leather booths and chairs, it becomes clear that you are in for a unique dining experience. For Christmas Eve 2017, La Pulperia will be offering a three-course prix fixe menu at all three locations from 4:00PM-11:00PM, alongside their a la carte menu. The $45.00pp menu will include Grilled Veal Sweetbreads with yellow corn puree, Branzino Filet with a jalapeno-mint broth, and Pisco-infused Tres Leches cake.



La Pulperia will also ring in 2018 with fiestas at each of their three locations, serving a prix fixe menu for $79. Dishes will include Venison Tartare, Sangria Braised Octopus, Grilled Maine Lobster, 45-Day Aged Ribeye, and Mezcal Chocolate Mousse served with 24K gold leaf. For the 10:00PM seating, the Upper East Side location will also offer a special $120 four course prix fixe menu, which will include a midnight cava toast, live DJ, and party favors.



The Upper East Side and 57th Street locations will serve brunch at 12:00PM-4:00PM on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
