PAULA DEEN AT THE ATLANTIC CITY TROPICANA

Paula Deen

Everyone can agree there is just one name that comes to mind when you think of down home Southern cooking and that is Paula Deen. The American icon will host an Evening with Paula Deen at Tropicana Casino & Resort on Saturday, December 8th at 6pm sponsored by the Atlantic City Alliance in conjunction with their holiday campaign.

A self-made woman, Paula Deen started her first company with her last $200 in 1989. “The Bag Lady”, a home-based meal delivery service marked the start of Paula’s professional cooking career. Her vivacious energy combined with a dazzling smile and infectious laugh has quickly made Paula America’s best friend and next door neighbor.

Today we know her for her various television shows on the Food Network including Paula’s Party (2006), Paula’s Best Dishes (2008), and the long running Paula’s Home Cooking (2002), which has earned her two Emmy’s.

She is a best selling author with 14 cookbooks which have sold over 8 million copies total. Her bimonthly magazine Cooking with Paula Deen currently has a circulation of more than one million.

Recently, Paula Deen launched Paula Deen Foods, with a variety of food products based on her traditional recipes along with lighter versions. Paula Deen Enterprises now includes 17 different licensees and covers a broad gamut of good living products including a full line of cookware, dishes, sauces, spices, and bakery goods. Recently she even introduced a complete line of furniture, greeting cards and a Paula Deen and Family Party at Sea Cruise.

She gives back to the community by working on the board for Bethesda Home for Boys, working tirelessly for America’s Second Harvest, and partnering with Smithfield Foods Helping Hungry Homes™.

Fans will be inspired by her motivational words at An Evening with Paula Deen Saturday, December 8th at 6pm in the Tropicana Showroom. Tickets are $35, $40, and $50 and will be available starting Friday October 19th through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at 1.800.736.1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office.
