MICKY DOLENZ BACK ON NEW YORK RADIO ?

Radio Star Micky Dolenz

After a guest radio-stint in Milwaukee (on The Mighty 92-WOKY, air personality Gregory Jon's show) this past Monday, Monkee-MICKY DOLENZ (who was in town for a show later that night there) might be headed back to the New York-airwaves. Dolenz, who was unceremoniously dumped by CBS FM radio (along with the entire airstaff) when they abruptly changed their format a year ago, from the golden-oldies to a JACK- format, had his guest-stint closely monitored by several key-radio execs here on the North East. No one is confirming or denying anything, but sources close to TIMES SQUARE GOSSIP tell us that come January, overtures will be made to the Dolenz camp. Micky's pr-mouthpiece DAVID SALIDOR, would only confirm that Dolenz loved it and would "assiduously address any offer." Dolenz, who is currently back at home base in LA, will be here for the January 10th opening of Disney's LITTLE MERMAID and may well play Steve Walter's The Cutting Room come spring for a series of charity events.
