'BABYSHAMBLES' PETE DOHERTY SAVES MAN
Pete Doherty saved a man in a motorway car crash. The Babyshambles frontman, who was travelling from Chelmsford to Stafford to perform with his band at the V-Festival this weekend, leaped into action after seeing the vehicle smash into a concrete reservation. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Pete saw the overturned car billowing with smoke in the middle of the carriageway. The band stopped and pulled a guy in his 50s from the vehicle. He had hit a concrete block on the side of the road and the car flipped over."Pete called the police and paramedics, who treated the victim at the scene. The man luckily escaped the crash with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old rocker has allegedly reunited with his ex-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu. Pete, who was recently dumped by supermodel Kate Moss, was seen meeting the Romanian model at London's Claridge's Hotel on Saturday. The pair visited Pete's friends and Irina watched the troubled musician perform at the V-Festival. Irina, who was chosen by Kate to model her Topshop collection earlier this year, previously dated Pete in 2004. Kate, who only arrived at the Chelmsford V-Festival site after Pete had left, watched Kasabian from the side of the stage, but was moved on by security after just one song for not having the right pass. A source said: "We thought Kate might have used the festival as an excuse to meet up with Pete, but it seems she was determined to stay away from him."
