Pete has struggled with drinking and drug addictions, celebrated his birthday with a party in Paris, France in March.Pete also admitted hitting the landmark age of 30, felt depressing and he became suicidal after consuming a bottle of vodka. He tells Elle magazine, "’I had this bash in Paris and it was an absolute disgrace. I just made a bit of an idiot out of myself. I don’t even know exactly what happened but I ended up trying to throw myself off the top of the hotel. I wasn’t happy at all about being 30. "I went through a bottle of vodka. They presented me with this cake and I pushed it in the chef’s face who’d just made it for me. Then the chef and the security guards were chasing me around. I think I escaped unscathed."

Once again Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and drug possession after a concert in the United Kingdom. Doherty played a solo show in Gloucester, south west England, on last night and was held by cops 30 minutes after the event. Officers swooped when they saw the car being driven "erratically" through the town. Doherty was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, possession of drugs, and failing to stop. A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police says, "At approximately 12:30 a.m. officers on patrol in Eastgate Street saw a car being driven erratically. He says, "My house is definitely haunted. All of a sudden you hear a mad party going on in the west wing. It used to be the servants’ quarters, which is creepy. When I hear it I just hide. Doherty pays $4,600-a-month to rent the nine-bedroom home in Wiltshire, England. But now the star is now set to be released after serving just 28 days of his sentence, which has been halved and a further 18 days deducted as part of a scheme introduced last summer to ease huge prison overcrowding. He also gets another two days taken off for time spent in police custody. Doherty was forced to postpone a solo show at London's Royal Albert Hall on April 26 and scrap his appearance at the Love Music Hate Racism benefit in the British capital on April 27.
