EDDIE MURPHY’s girlfriend is defending her man against reports he has turned his back on former Spice Girl Melanie Brown’s baby - which may be his. TV executive Tracey Edmonds insists her man never said he wasn’t baby Angel Iris’ father - he just wants to make sure.The media went crazy when Murphy questioned the paternity of Brown’s then-unborn baby in a Dutch TV interview in December (06) - but Edmonds claims everyone misinterpreted what the actor said. She says, "They kind of spun it a little bit because I actually saw the interview that he did, where he just said, ‘Don’t be presumptuous. We don’t know whose baby this is right now.’ "The press went crazy and said Eddie Murphy says the baby’s not mine. But he never said that. He just said, ‘I want a paternity test.’"
