JOHN SCHNEIDER'S 'DUKES OF HAZARD' CAR SELLS FOR ALMOST 10 MILLION
EBay has put up John Schneider's own personal General Lee, the 1969 Dodge Charger used in the "Dukes of Hazard," which was sold today for a whopping $9,900,500.00. TMZ.com reports that this is the "second highest finish for an auto auction, the first being the $11 million 1987 sale by Christie's of a 1931 Bugatti originally owned by the Bugatti family. "William Fisher, owner of knifecollectors.com, bought the vehicle. Schneider was Bo Duke in the classic television series, and is currently starring in the film: "Collier & Co. -- Hot Pursuit!"Schneider told TMZ, "It just proves that when you clean out your garage, be very, very careful about what you throw away!"The eBay page of the General Lee auction received over one million hits during the week-long listing, according to TMZ. Schneider will make a wish come true for one terminally ill child and give a special ride in the General before turning it over to new owner Fisher.
