PRESIDENT HAS WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS

Image
**** THE WOODWARD REPORT Editorial By Brian Woodward “We can know only that we know nothing. And that is the highest degree of human wisdom.” ― Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace **** Barack Obama Times like this are when no one can possibly imagine the pressure that the President (as well as other top military and cabinet members) are under. No matter what President Obama chooses to do, some will assert that blood is on his hands. Geopolitics is a dirty, dangerous, and violent arena at times. Syrians are human beings just like us and 100,000 of them have already died in this civil war. Chemical weapons have been used, although there seems to be uncertainty as to who used them and who is in control of all of these weapons. The United Nations Security Council of course came to no consensus with China and Russia urging restraint. However, the United States seems to have made up it’s mind that sufficient evidence exists. ROSIE O'DONNELL'S WAR READY DAUGHTER

Image
Rosie O'Donnell was never afraid to air her opinions on the war in Iraq during her 'View' tenure, but war-related photos of her 4-year-old daughter are causing many to think Rosie's gone too far. On her blog Tuesday, O'Donnell posted photos of her daughter Vivian Rose in a post titled "Dress Up." George Bush The Senate unanimously approved $70 billion more for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan Friday as part of a record Pentagon budget. The bill, now on its way to the White House for President Bush's signature, totals $448 billion. It was passed by a 100-0 vote after minimal debate. Approval by a comfortable margin came despite intense partisan divisions over the course of the Iraq war, which is costing about $8 billion a month. Another infusion of money will be needed next spring. The House-Senate compromise bill provides $378 billion for core Pentagon programs, about a 5 percent increase, though slightly less than President Bush asked for. The $70 billion for Iraq and Afghanistan is a down payment on war costs the White House has estimated will hit $110 billion for the budget year beginning Oct. 1. Congress has now approved $507 billion for Iraq, Afghanistan and heightened security at overseas military bases since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, according to the Co...
