ABC executives announced last week Sheridan, who plays Wisteria Lane’s resident man-eater Edie Britt, would be written out of the show in the next season. A source tells America’s Us Weekly magazine, "They are killing her off. There is no chance she’ll return." Another source adds, "There are no hard feelings - it wasn’t a dramatic decision." Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan is refuting claims she has undergone cosmetic surgery and is insisting her looks are down to "good genes".The star admits that although she has never gone under the knife, she won’t rule it out in the future at all. She says, "I have been accused of doing things to my face, but I haven’t had anything done. I’m not saying that they’re won’t be a time when I say ‘Okay, maybe’, but I’m very blessed to come from generations of very good skin."My mother looks a lot younger than she is, and so did her mother. I have a bit of sun damage, but otherwise, I come from a pool of good genes."
