James Franco And Seth Rogen In The Interview New York City's Cinema Village announced the other day that it will open the most discussed movie of the year, THE INTERVIEW, directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. It opened on Thursday, December 25th as Manhattan's exclusive venue. The independently run theater and cinematic first-responder, located at 22 East 12th Street (between 5th Avenue and University), joins 200 theaters across the nation to show the film after the major chains continued to refuse to show it. James Franco In the aftermath of the recent Sony hack, " The Interview " stars Seth Rogen and James Franco are standing behind the movie, which centers on a fictional assassination attempt of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un. Rogen, who also co-wrote the film, told "Good Morning America" that he never could have predicted the drama surrounding the film. "I can't definitively say I know the ramifications of the storm. I mean, I don't know if the hacking honestly is because of our movie, definitively or not," he said. "I know that it has been the center of a lot of media attention lately. It is weird because we just wanted to make a really funny, entertaining movie and the movie itself is very silly and wasn't meant to be controversial in any way." Marisa Tomei Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Marisa Tomei, and Peter Sarsgaard were among celebs at MoMA PS1 and VOLKSWAGEN Dinner and Party to Celebrate the Opening of EXPO1 in New York, Saturday May 11, 2013 at the MoMA. The party came on the heels of the announcement that VW has committed to another two years of support for MoMA and MoMA PS1 and to celebrate the Opening of EXPO1: New York. No specifics on what is planned yet for the next round of support, but the last two were highlighted with the installations of the VW Dome 1 at MoMA PS1 and 2 in the Rockaways following Hurricane Sandy for arts and enrichment as well as the 8 Kraftwerks performances at MoMA last spring. The dinner was hosted at MoMA NYC and began with cocktails in the sculpture garden then moved into the gallery for dinner followed by a garden after party where DJ Four Tet spun.
