Gary Coleman Former Different Strokes actor Gary Coleman has died at the age of 42 after suffering a serious brain hemorrhage. The former child star, who suffered from a congenital kidney disease, was admitted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Wednesday following a fall at his home. He was conscious after the accident but his condition got worse. On Thursday his manager, John Alcantar, said he was "unconscious and on life support". Coleman’s wife Shannon decided to take him off life support early on Friday and he died at around 12.05pm from an intracr anial hemorrhage. A statement released by his rep reads: "Thanks to everyone for their well wishing and support during this tragic time. Now that Gary has passed, we know he will be missed because of all the love and support shown in the past couple of days. Gary Coleman Former Different Strokes star Gary Coleman has been hospitalized after suffering an apparent seizure on the set of the television show The Insider. The incident occurred on the Los Angeles California set at around 10am yesterday. Celebrity Rehab host Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was also set to appear on The Insider, came to the former child star’s aid and sat with him until the paramedics arrived, according TMZ.com. Coleman, who suffers from a congenital kidney disease which requires frequent dialysis, was previously admitted to the hospital in January, after suffering what he described as "a little seizure activity". Coleman who shot to fame in the hit sitcom Diff’rent Strokes at the age of 10, had his acting career dry up after the show ended in 1986, and he has very little work since. He was once caught by the paparazzi who were trying to get a shot of Michael Jackson from a parking garage, working as a security guard there. The 39-year-old who was paid around $70,000 an episode at the height of his career, is now said to be struggling to pay for dialysis treatment following his two kidney transplant operations, according to website MediaTakeOut.com.
