**** WILL MACY'S FORTH OF JULY BE FAKE? Story By: James Edstrom **** Flo Rida Macy's Dress Rehearsal For Forth Of July Being at ground zero for the Macy's Forth Of July in Long Island City on the East River, tonight I watched Flo Rida bring filmed on the East River. Not only did it appear that Rida was lip Syncing, it also looked like Macy's and NBC were staging a pre taped show to air on the Forth Of July. Even the Empire State Building was in on it when they lit up the building in Forth Of July Colors, only to turn them off when the taping was done. I have been in this business for many years and was the photographer for many television shows, so I can spot when something is being faked. The crowds started forming in front of the set up stage and they were being handed lights with flags on them. Directors on stage would tell them to yell or scream and the cameras were rolling as they filmed the audience. They played Rida's song time a...

**** THE GLORIOUS CORNER Story By: G.H. Harding **** Ed Sheeran VINNIE’S VINYL --- You’ve seen Vincent D’Onofrio morph into a variety of roles, ranging from his turn nabbing bad guys - as Detective Robert Goren on Law And Order: Criminal Intent; to bumbling around as Leonard Lawrence in Full Metal Jacket; as a man-bug in the Men In Black series … and, soon to be seen as Wilson Fisk (aka The Kingpin) in the upcoming Netflix series Daredevil. However, the actor’s next project is something of a passion project: a spoken-word punk album. Titled Slim Bone Head Volt, the album is a spoken word punk record which he collaborated on with musician Dana Lyn. The album’s website describes their sound as, “Strings howl and percussion thumps while bells whistle and bass lines stalk, like a jazz band from hell recording in a smoke-filled zero gravity chamber.”  The first track, a very beat-era song called “I’m A Hamster,” was leaked last week online.  ...

**** THE GLORIOUS CORNER Story By: G. H. HARDING **** Ed Sheeran SHEERAN STAYS --- It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes we’ll miss something and are duly chagrined when we finally get it months later. I must admit that I never got Ed Sheeran; that tuff of red hair and his wailing acoustic guitar I guess threw me. Well, we did miss him and now having fully gotten into the artist’s latest album X (for multiply), I have to simply say it’s one of the best albums I’ve heard on years. The two big single hits from it, “Don’t” and “Sing” are positively mesmerizing, but I found a real love for “Bloodstream” (produced by Rick Rubin of all people) and “Nina.” “Runaway” is another Pharrel Wiliams winning production that's hard to beat. The soulful "Thinking Out Loud" sounds like Marvin Gaye gone acoustic, with hints of "Let's Get It On." "Afire Love" showcases his vocals against an enchanting piano/violin backdrop; a touching ...

**** CONCERTS **** Taylor Swift Ed Sheeran And Alana Galloway Ed Sheeran opened for Taylor Swift, performing for over 13,000 screaming fans at New Jersey's Prudential Center. The 22-year-old British sensation brought his 'A Game' to the concert. He opened with 'Give Me Love' and proceeded to sing several other songs including 'A Team', 'Drunk', and 'Lego House'. Ed Sheeran and his guitar captivated the crowd of shrieking fans. Sheeran and Swift performed Taylor's hit duet 'Everything Has Changed' up close to the audience. We were grateful to meet Ed. He's very sincere, humble and has a great sense of humor. After seeing the concert, I can honestly say I understand why Taylor's Red album has sold 1 million copies. Having witnessed Swift in concert before, I can say that she has grown tremendously as a performer. She spared nothing and satisfied the audience song after song with style and g...
